DM said himself we aren't a good counterattack team, not a good possession based team, not a good pressing team..what are we doing/have we been doing in training the last 2 months that we
1. don't know what type of team we are and
2. no good at trying to be whatever that is?
I am, like everybody absolutely scunnered!
As much as the buck stops with the manager anybody in here should be able to pick 11 players from that squad and say listen I'm not a manager but I need my defenders to defend my strikers to hold the ball up and create/score I want my wingers to go be brave and my midfielders go do everything in-between and that should be enough to beat that team!
The players were absolutely toothless, a manager can't make a player complete a 5 yard pass or make him stronger in the tackle yeah tactics etc matter obviously they do but where is the pride and willingness to do the dirty stuff, be brave on the ball, not even the dirty stuff the simple stuff would be a start.
Honestly that was as bad as I've witnessed these last torturous years!

I agree a manager can't make players perform, but the question in that team is why did we sign those players if they can't do the basics or play in the style McInnes wants. Now that Minsu has arrived and we are likely to sign Kelsy, we have bought more than a complete new team. If the players aren't good enough, then why did we sign them? No doubt people will blame the recruitment dept, but are we saying McInnes had no say on who is bought in? That seems unlikely to me, because what kind of manager would accept a job under those circumstances.
He should have a vision of how he wants to play, and be signing players to suit what he wants to do.

Managers can make them perform, that's what they are there to do, but he constantly changes things & makes baffling sub choices that affect the overall team. I'd argue the players are doing as they are told to do.

I believe the players are good enough to have beat that team last night. Certainly didn't show it. Why? They were bereft of any fight, skill or organisation. Why? Is it the manager? I thought McInnes was a good man manager. He made Hearts punch above their weight and us underperform. I don't get it. Kelsey, go while you still can.

McInnes is a loser.
Wake up!

It's literally what his job is. To organise them to be able to beat teams like that.
