So I admit I haven't watched anything of Lewis Ferguson since he left Aberdeen and didn't watch much of him when he was there unless they played us. I watched him at world cup and I'm really not sure what his best role would be and why so many people are still desperate to see us sign him.
Please tell me why we should be spending so much money on him and what he will bring to the team that we don't already have?

For Bologna, he's played different roles in midfield, and what he gives you is physicality, aggression, running power, late runs into the box and leadership. He can compete, cover ground and score goals from midfield as well.
For me, it's not really a case of "what does he do that Raskin or Chukwuani can't?" It's about the balance of the midfield. We have technically good players, but I still think we're missing that powerful box-to-box midfielder who can impose himself on games, especially domestically when things get scrappy.
He's also captained Bologna and has over 100 appearances in Serie A, so we're talking about someone proven at a very good level, not another project.
Obviously there has to be a sensible limit on the fee, but if Ferguson became available at a price Rangers could realistically do, I'd be all over it.

He also won the best mf award in Italy 2 seasons ago h h is a very coveted award.
Considering they didn't win Serie A and weren't in the Champions League, that's pretty good going.

Only my opinion, but Ferguson would bring more to our team than Raskin has. I'm not talking about a good few performances, I'm talking about good performances regularly. Said a while ago, now we get Ferguson and change from Raskin sale, we'd do very well.

Ferguson is better than Raskin and if we can get EUR20m for Raskin and get Ferguson for EUR15-20m then we've won a watch.

Raskin has been believing his own hype for a couple of seasons now. Overrated player, time to go.
