EHL, has alluded that Raskin knows where he will be playing football next season and there will be no bidding war.
What I will say is that, I hope the club aren't holding out for a figure that we might not achieve and we end up losing his for nothing.
Hopefully the club would be willing to accept a lot bit less if need be. Now I obviously have no idea what's happening but I do feel a bit confused. McInnes has said there's been no bids.
Raskin knows where he'll be playing next season and there will be no bidding war. Which then makes me think a deal has already been agreed(but there's been no bids) 🤦🏻♀️and we're waiting on other things falling into place or he's not going anywhere.
But then McInnes said in a recent interview that there's conversations going on in the background and he was aware coming in that we'll probably be without him next season.
Anyway my point stands I hope we don't end up shooting ourselves in the foot and losing him for nothing.

Could it be that he's going nowhere and is staying put, and that's why he already knows where he's playing and why there are no bids incoming? And, the behind the scenes discussions are contract extension so we retain his market value??

That's been my thoughts for a while.
It's the only thing that makes sense to me right now, but then McCunnes comes out with preparing to be without him.
Who knows, I guess we'll find out soon enough. 😂

But how many deals go through in the last week of a window as dominoes start to topple. So Raskin may be waiting for a player to move from the club he has chosen before his deal is created.
I think the same is happening or about to happen for a lot of our deals as well.
Difficulty with these is it leaves a limited time to get deal 100% agreed and finalised in such a short time, so some never come off. We had a few loans last few years where this was the case.

John, I agree re not taking the manager's word for things. Diomande left and said the manager wanted him to stay.
I think the club know that, if you want to get rid of players, you can't dump them in the reserves. We got 500k for Cantwell and 6million for Dio. Lessons have been learned.

I'd just hate to see the same happen with Raskin that happened with Kent, Morelos and others. It can't be good financially for the club.
