That other lot have spent slowly & wisely, we are going to be in trouble if we don't up our game consistently. They looked very dangerous last night & that confidence will only grow. Feels like their recruitment team are night & day compared to ours. Going to be a long season.

In all honesty, we are only a dot to them now. Let's face it, we aren't even the closest challengers, and are pretty much an irrelevance in their eyes.

It's not that we are "going to be in trouble", mate, we are in trouble. The "going to be" ship has long sailed.

They've finally put their hands in their pockets and are streaking forward with their recruitment.

We've been lucky that they've taken so long to get their stuff together, but we need to get a grip, get some consistency and some quality.

They have bought decent this window, but over the years they have bought absolute duds as well. Let's not make out they are prime Barcelona.

We've been "in trouble" for years.

We came 3rd last season.

Also Celtic don't have a Thelwell doing whatever it is he does.

We have been terribly run for years and years.

Embarrassing that that mobs fan base has been shouting "sack the board" and I'm sure it will come back in a few months when they are back to drawing/losing to Motherwell and Hibs. 🤣🤣

Again I'll highlight that they have benefited from the one owner scenario who has been prudent and knows what it takes to win in Scotland. Same with managers and players. Nancy didn't last long.

Now it's been highlighted that they have had more of a settled environment and this could be the 4th Champions League in 5 years. It's been mentioned Arteta was given time.

It's been 6 years since we won the league, and 4 since the Europa Final. We have regressed. That's not a customer issue, that is a football governance issue. Arsenal have Champions League football, finishing 4th. We, well, we are a conference team now for the moment. Let's see how the season pans out, but I am confident we will take something off them this year.

Thing is, our actual record versus Celtic in recent seasons has been fine.

It's the other teams turning up at Ibrox and not being scared anymore, along with our horrid away record, which is killing us.

2025/26 v Celtic (league).
P4 W1 D2 L1.

2024/25.
P4 W2 D1 L1.

Must be clouds over the sunshine today, Jesus wept. Every team reinforces every year. They've signed a few belters by the seems of things, but who's to say we haven't or won't?

The defeatist attitude before a ball's kicked is genuinely mind numbing. LASK wouldn't give the top 4 teams in the SPL a doing.

Equivalence to probably Motherwell wouldn't be an injustice to them.

Forget what's happening across the road. We know they've been better run, and they're running their own race the same way we should. The constant scouring over it is exhausting.

Well said, Papac. Let's focus on what we are doing. That's the only thing we (Rangers) can influence.

20 Aug 2026 13:04:12
And there we are, ladies and gentlemen, a nice wee bit of not accepting what's in front of them. Yip, Forza, everything is rosy, eh? 🤣🤣

Who's willing to take the bet that posters like him have been using the same comeback 14 out of the last 15 years? Now, that is "exhausting"!

20 Aug 2026 14:05:13
I only hope that after this season we only have to sign the minimum 3/4 players, due to players leaving or strengthening positions. Waving goodbye to the complete rebuilds & building a solid group for a few seasons.
