Sir Walter Smith, sorry I meant to get back to you about what you told me regarding Ross Wilson and Maeda. I never knew about that story but I'm honestly not surprised. Wilson was terrible at his job during his time here and we probably missed out on countless hidden talents for the Championship jobbers and journeymen he so often preferred to sign.
Unfortunately, since then, it doesn't seem like we have learned from his mistakes as we are still signing players who are not fit to wear the Rangers jersey.

Think it was Craig Moore that allegedly said to Ross Wilson that Gers should sign Maeda but we didn't pursue his tip. Then signed for them.

We should listen to ex players about talent in their homeland more.
Johansson told Pedri to sign Morelos.
Nobody knows a player more than an ex player. We should utilise ex players in their respective countries far more than we do.
Part time scout wages aren't high, and on the scale of worth, when they unearth a good one, it's pennies really.
We could have Amoruso and Negri in Italy.
The Dutch connection and so on, would be well worth doing this imo.

100% Stevie, we'd be better asking fan groups of other clubs, and get better players than what our current recruitment strategy is at this point.
Look at Charai, Igamane and Rommens are two he said would do well with us because he knew them.

Definitely blue, it can be frustrating that we can come up with common sense ideas on forums like this that the club should do and doesn't.

Would it not be an idea to bring ex-playing board and pay them a retainer to visit matches, scout players, and recommend them.
Maybe this is already done.
Think of the amount of ex-players we have in different countries.
