20 Jul 2026 00:31:41
Loved Rooney's honesty tonight haha. Infantile is a fud.
20 Jul 2026 07:17:36
I've actually enjoyed Rooney's honesty throughout the tournament.
20 Jul 2026 07:31:59
What did Rooney say?
20 Jul 2026 07:41:14
I watched it on STV as Ally was on commentary duty, but I've seen Rooney a few times and feel his comments were always fair and balanced tbh.
20 Jul 2026 07:45:16
He said the half time show was crap and that Infantino wearing white trainers with a suit was stupid. I like his honesty. ππ€£
20 Jul 2026 08:30:39
Agree with Romney's comments, but generally the pundits were mince.
20 Jul 2026 08:43:46
I didn't enjoy the half-time show at all. It looked AI.
And I love Madonna, and the song she sang is one of my favourites.
I'm all for a bit of entertainment, but it feels like they're turning football into an exhibition.
It's all about showmanship, and even the full stadium figures were all about ego.
Look how big we are.
If I was one of those players, I would have had a real tough time shaking Trump's hand just to keep him and others happy.
20 Jul 2026 08:51:23
Would agree, Broste. I kept flicking between STV and BBC as the pundits were poor.
20 Jul 2026 10:22:49
They had their little show, and after the fireworks went off, the host was thanking everyone for tuning in over the past 5 weeks.
Almost like they forgot there was the second half of the World Cup Final to play.
The spectacle was a silly nonsense. I hope they never try to repeat.
20 Jul 2026 10:39:41
Players must hate it, the cool down period too long, must be hard to come out for second half.
20 Jul 2026 11:01:09
How many of all those celebs actually go and watch football? Probably all got free tickets tae.
20 Jul 2026 11:02:56
Ehl, I see Alan Sugar made comments about being unable to understand Ally McCoist's accent. I really struggle to understand Rooney. Yet McCoist is one of the most sought after pundits.
20 Jul 2026 11:09:10
Alan Sugar is so up himself. He's nothing but an over indulged t***.
20 Jul 2026 11:20:58
Gazza, my daughter would have had a problem shaking Trump's hand as well.
20 Jul 2026 12:16:17
I can't see that a half hour interval was good for the players.
20 Jul 2026 11:54:33
I hope America never gets the Soccer World Cup π‘ever again, Not just because of time difference, But they are not a Football nation, It should be played in Europe, South America maybe even here in Australia as we have the infrastructure to cope. π¦πΊπ¬π§

He just cut all trade with spain and called them embarrassing and weak minded ppl. The weak minded people show up on his doorstep and breeze through the world cup, he has to present them the world cup, absolutely brilliant.
No wonder Rodri was ushering him along he actually thought he was going to stand in the middle with all the weak minded Spaniards, making it about him as always. I detest that man, he's an absolute danger to woman.
20 Jul 2026 13:09:58
Alan Sugar= obnoxious t***.
20 Jul 2026 13:13:14
Newman, apparently, because of the rotation of the Tournament it could return to the USA in 2038 unless Australia/New Zealand bid for it. So get campaigning mate.
20 Jul 2026 14:04:24
Wslgers4ever
If Australia were to bid, they could only play the World Cup here in October to December, that's spring time.
December to the end of February is summer.
As March to September is Australian Football League, and they have all the best stadiums, if you get a chance checkout the Melbourne Cricket Ground, it holds 100, 000, and the Optus Stadium here in Western Australia, 65, 000, two of the best stadiums in the world.

What this World Cup has proven is that money has taken over. It is no longer the working man's sport that it was intended to be. It has become a spectacle for the privileged. Adding hydration breaks so American TV can have ads playing to bring in more money, the match director on TV has done more celeb spotting than showing what was happening on the pitch.
It's a sad fact, but the game has been sold down the river for the mighty dollar.
