Why was Souttar left out of the training camp squad? I get there's interest but there's plenty interest in other players who went I.e Dio. I expected Souttar away this week giving he was left out yet it's been very quiet.
To take Nsiala and leave Souttar at home seems a bit strange. Anyone know the situation with Souttar giving he got a new deal? What changed over a couple of months? Also where is Cifuentes?

New deal means we can get some money for him if we sell. Believe he got left behind as a move is potentially very close.

A new deal would include a signing on fee and higher wages, most likely so giving the fee quoted for him circa £1m, was it really worth it? When he signed the new deal in his interview, it didn't sound like he had any intention of leaving.
Is this a club decision or player decision? Not seen much on here regarding this or any possible move to be honest.

What would the benefit be for Souttar in signing a new deal? If he moved under freedom of contract he would make more through the signing on fee, would have more offers and would have been able to have everything in place from January.

He signed his new contract when Rohl was here, so obviously at that point he was part of the first team plans. Then, new manager and things can change, so perhaps he has been told that and now he wants to move to play first team football. 🤷

I was not surprised we offered Souttar a new deal, but I was surprised he signed it, 1 year and a 1 year option for a guy who was captaining the club at times, seemed strange. Now the new manager doesn't want him, another surprise to me, and weirdly we don't take him on the training camp because he has transfer moves in the pipeline, but we are on the way home and he still hasn't left.
I think he's either been a bad boy or got a contagious disease.
