Jack Butland on talksport this morning saying he's really looking forward to working with mcinnes and the players are back in tomorrow, maybe not a certainty that he's leaving? who knows

Tbh, with you I wanted shot of Jack but with McInness coming in, and his style of play being more direct, I don't think I'd be in a hurry to sell him, especially when I have seen the players we have been linked with to replace him ie Gunn.

Agree, John, anything could happen. I like him, but too many mistakes creeping in last season.

Butland's form tailed off at the end of the season, but he saved us a lot of points earlier and saved us from some even bigger defeats in Europe. He must have saved at least 6 or 7 penalties, including a double save at Ibrox in the OF game that everybody says we should have won.
The lack of reaction from any of the defenders to help him out highlighted a problem we also had at the end of the season. We'll never teach him to play out from the back, but if we want a keeper who is solid and makes saves, then McInnes may be looking at keeping him.
