Absolutely gutted for Gilmour just read his injury today has ruled him out the world cup. Genuinely feel for the lad and definitely weakens the squad a bit although if he's out can he be replaced?

It would be a very bold move to take Fletcher. Bot did have a good 45.

It would be typical of Clarke to take a boy who has hardly played a minute at first-team level, rather than Barron or Miller, who have been in the squad for the last year. Fletcher was one of 4 boys they brought in to make up the numbers in training; he's a lucky boy to get a cap, never mind a World Cup place.
What a sickener that would be for Miller and Barron, one of them should get the place.

Wsl, maybe seeing Fletcher in camp has caused him to realise his potential. He didn't disgrace himself in those minutes he played today. There always seems to be one 'unknown' who does well in a tournament. Perhaps this time it is Fletcher. This is about what is best for the team and not about club allegiances.
