Could there be some player bargains to be had if Saudi Arabia's Pro League football goes the way of its LIV golf tour? The Saudis are cutting back on expensive prestige infrastructure projects such as The Line (a 100 mile long city) and a winter ski resort. Although the World Cup in 2034 there seems safe, the impact of club football in the country hasn't brought the expected dividends.
If players no longer get their shorts stuffed with gold, some may decide to call it a day, return to Europe and accept more realistic wages. Are there any we'd like to see at Ibrox? (I'm not thinking Ronaldo or Toney )
