From the lows to the highs to back to lows. What a brutal season.
Another year done and another rebuild needed.
Will we ever get it right?
Being a Rangers fan at the moment is brutal!

Tough season, but the table doesn't lie and the best team comes out on top.
What the table does show is the importance of balancing technical ability with physicality.
I've said it often enough, we don't need to reinvent the wheel, the blueprint for how to be successful in Scotland is on display across the city.

The importance of having both technicality and physicality shouldn't be a lesson Rangers need to learn again. When Gerrard and Beale first came here, they focused on recruiting technical players. This resulted in the team doing well in Europe but falling short domestically. So they started to recruit more physical players to cope with the league. That's when guys like Bassey started to come in. When Beale was manager, he recruited big physical guys in Sima, Lammers, and Dessers.
Sima was better at winning the ball in the air than most CBs.
There has been a pattern of having to relearn this lesson with every managerial change. But recruitment this season has been focused on big physical players. Chermiti and Chuck are both big and technically good. The club is clearly trying to recruit this type of player.

All the league table shows is the team with the refs on their side come out on top.
Hearts have by far been the best and most consistent team this season, yet they finish in 2nd place.

A lot I'd disagree with in that post, RWC, but think we both have different definitions of physicality.

I watched the Hearts players bursting a guy to close down and get back and win the ball when they lost it. Their midfield was excellent today. Something we lack, unfortunately, is the fight and desire.

I agree that the table doesn't lie.
We, as fans, are fickle at times, and ride the waves of results, and forget about the cracks in the team.
We say every year this is the most important rebuild, but this could be the one! Hearts, in my opinion, won't get much worse, and Celtic will only strengthen, so we need to be on point this summer.

@AlloaGer1 - I agree. I tell my young boy that no matter what level of football you play, attitude and effort are non-negotiable.
We don't need to be united in that fight to win games at times.

Totally agree with most here. No point having 11 Messi's in your team if their attitude is poor and desire, drive and passion is missing.
