Just back from game, a good result, Lawson scores injury time winner, now this group play in Europe, good for their development.

Great news, John, do you think a few are ready for the step-up to joining the first team next season and playing a few games?

Sco m b Owen definitely Lawson imo.

A loan for Owen would be best imho. He's only recently stepped up to the 19s and is still developing physically. Got a fair bit to go before he's got shoulders like his old man tbf. The lad has all the qualities and has been a natural leader right through the age groups.

Kaiser, I'd get Lawson in squad.

John, I have mentioned twice in the last week that I want to see more of Lawson in the first team.

Orange, he should have been involved instead Olsen and Gassama imo.

The issue we have is that in this age group we have several players who are so comfortable at this level, their development will stall, and they'll start to pick up bad habits - Rice is a very good example.
However, physically they're not ready to play a lot of minutes at senior level, so loans aren't a great option (a lot of these players are already playing up in age groups, Rankin, for example, is still 15).
This is why not having a competitive environment beyond U19s has caused such an issue and why we might start to see some go on loan in Europe to play in other countries U21 and U23 leagues, which is smart, but also embarrassing.
