I've enjoyed the recent discussions and experiences regarding mental health as its been great to let things out and show support to one another. However I Think we need to try and separate mental health issues from judging a player performance. As far as I'm aware there has been nothing from the player or the club indicating that is in fact the problem, and has just been some peoples view on what could be wrong.

Much of the Criticism of a player is being regarded as attacks on their mental health which is not the case and is only damaging and causes arguments. Unless there is more to it then it's 2 very different discussions.

You are correct that there is no official declaration of mental health issues, Kaiser.

As for confidence issues, this is widely known from his time at Wolfsburg and, whilst injured at Brugge.

He took a while to return to full form for Brugge as well.

In terms of his personality traits, this is also widely known and acknowledged.

I personally have never attributed a mental health condition to this struggle.

Appreciate that and thanks for the clarification. Probably because the 2 discussions have been on together there has been some presumptions that they were related. Unfortunately I noticed expressions from others of comments and posters being called disgusting shameful or even toxic based on his health which in the most part were just debates about his performance or the risk of buying him.

That's why I wish to try separate the two discussions.
Criticism of players, while harsh at times is normal in Football and can be part of healthy debate and opinion and is monitored well by the Eds but when health is mentioned we try and come together which is the way it should be. ?

Kaiser, I completely agree and for the most part those issues were kept separate.

I am lucky to be in a position to know a little more about him throughout his career and people close to him.

One person who is becoming increasingly closer with Rangers as well.

I thought some comments were disgraceful in the sense that some were directly mentioning his salary and basically saying that due to salary he has no right to go through tough times.

I have felt so much support on this site with my own struggles and just could not fathom why salary and wealth was in the discussion.

I asked 2 questions:

1. Does mental health only become applicable if a person is not wealthy?

2. If a player's salary makes them forfeit the right to have issues, does my position as a salary payer mean I also forfeit that right?

I felt these were questions that were valid and applicable to the discussion point.

Furthermore, I would like to wholeheartedly agree with you that criticisms of performance levels and a questioning of whether we should take the financial risk are completely valid points.

That is a matter of opinion, but it does give a great basis for discussion.

Enough has been said about his personality and confidence on this site imo.
I feel people are putting 2+2 together and coming up with wrong answers.
Personally, I'll be supporting him and the rest of the squad until the end of the season and after that judgement will be made on his merits as a Rangers player going forward.

What if he plays a significant role in the remaining 5 matches?

We need to support that full team for the next 5 games and hopefully they can make us all happy and bring home the title.

Thankfully, the more it's discussed, outdated ideas like rich folk don't have issues are becoming less common.

I agree and I hope that silly comments like the ones I quoted yesterday will be a thing of the past.
