Hello guys this is my first post. I decided to get involved with all the chat because I think the club is about to enter an exciting period. I wanted to talk about Cavenagh's discussion with Fan Advisory Board because I thought it was interesting and exciting. I copied and pasted what Cavenagh said. When asked how the strategy for January will change from the summer, the minutes from Cavenagh read: "Weight of the shirt and the challenges and playing for this football club (will be considered). Physical and intensity of the Scottish League. More people involved in the process of what the squad should look like. Scottish players will be looked at. View that a certain percentage of players should come with league or Scottish experience. "
Cavenagh was also asked if the club plan to involve any former players to 'help shape the DNA' of the club. And he said that 'conversations are ongoing' and some 'will have a role to play, whether it be coaching or mentoring players. '
I am glad that we are looking at Scottish players and players from our league and looking to have a core of people who know our club and our game involved with shaping our club, I think this is really important and an aspect we have neglected over recent years.
Interested to hear everyone's views.

Big papa, that's a very good first post.
I've been very impressed with the Americans.
Especially since they got rid of Martin.
Exciting times ahead!

I agree it all sounds positive strong players physicality intensity players from our league also plus ex players perhaps installing the DNA of Rangers for those coming on board - basic common sense stuff but something we have not been doing - so good to hear.

We've missed opportunities multiple times with players within our league, and glad to see they are finally looking at the physicality needed to play in Scotland it's been a massive issue with signings in the past. Mulligan is still there to be had at a decent price we should be trying to get him in Asap Imo!

It's the way to go for success for me, happy with everything I heard from focusing on the first team, stadium upgrades of which I want to post about later and the type of commercial partners he discussed, glad it was the big boys cola and not the rola type he envisioned.
Was seriously peed off with what had been done but credit where it's due, owning up to your mistakes and pushing forward does go a long way for me.

Love the Gazza touch there, Mark! Wish he was here just now. What a player he was.

Thanks guys. I agree that we have missed opportunities to sign good players from our league and have failed to acknowledge the physical side of our game when signing players. I also thought that it was extremely telling when Cavenagh said that the Weight of the shirt and the challenges and playing for this football club would be considered when signing players, I take that as that we will also look at the mentality of potential signings which is something that has been an issue previously.
Anyway cheers for dialogue guys. How close are we to signing the Belgian and Danish boys, both look very good and statement of intent signings.

Welcome BPB and good first post. Liking what I hear from AC. Although it is always easy to talk the talk I genuinely believe they will back this up with solid investment and action. They may have underestimated the size of the club and intensity initially but think that they definitely get it now.
Good times ahead, hopefully starting this season, but if not we don't need to panic as it was always going to be a huge task to turn it around. I believe we now have the right manager in place to really takes us forward and the CEO and other pieces of the management structure will hopefully follow.

Welcome mate don't take any criticism or view on your opinion seriously. Speak openly and give your view whether it's unpopular or not. A lot of really good insights on here.
