2020/21 - SPLF league champions - Spent €11.7m that season
2021/22 - SC winner, SPFL runners up and EL runners up - Spent €3.68m that season
2022/23 - LC winners and SPFL runners up - Spent €16.81m that season
2025/26 - Sitting 4th in the league 14 points adrift from the leaders, out of the LC, and rock bottom of the EL with "Nul points"! - Spent €29.71m so far this season.
How has this happened? How have we actually regressed so far since the takeover? How can we be worse off after spending so much money?
Yes, the season hasn't ended, but even so, it's a shambles.
This is the worst Rangers side outwith the dross we had to bear during our time in the lower divisions. How can we have worse players, playing in a worse team, having Spent more money in one season than all other seasons since we got back up?
Many might not like this, and it might be too much for them, but we are a 100 times worse off now under the Yanks stewardship than we were under the last owners. So much for them being "saviours".
The thing is, it's not too late. These guys are successful, they have money, but they have some massive decisions to make, and make fast.

They don't understand the market and have made some of the worst footballing decisions ever recorded. Honestly, we'd have been better with Ryan Reynolds running us.
There decision to appoint Thelwell was diabolical giving his track record and then to trust him without having any safeguards in place is unforgivable.
The protests are coming for them, I believe these will be visible and on scale before Christmas. The only saving grace appears to be Rohl who in my opinion has started domestically well. 3 points tomorrow will continue the momentum.
The decision to insert playing clauses into the loan players contracts is criminal (not literally) and the signing of that big dud up top (yes I can say that after 350 minutes of football and yes, that's all you need to know, this statement is designed to tell you everything) is borderline fraud.

Ssfc PC was given the task of vastly reducing the wage bill. A lot of players were on silly money with us. Can you bring in better players on less wages, yes you can but it needs the right people in place to find them. We do not have that.
The fanbase wanted a clear out. We replaced players with over 60 goals between them last season with players who will not get to double figures.
We also have a fanbase that call for players to be replaced. How many times have we seen posts saying we shouldn't have sold Dessers, Goldson etc, some even saying why did we let Hagi go, a player that probably only played a handful of decent games for us.
Our club is in a complete mess. Anybody who thought that our new owners were going to turn it around overnight were imo kidding themselves on.
I would advise people to strap in tight as its going to be yet another bumpy ride.
Maybe some lessons to be learned, before calling for players to get sold look at the contribution and what we are likely to replace them with. Dessers v Chermiti is a prime example of this.
I said before we sold him that people should be careful what they wish for.
I hope to be around to see my club that I have supported for 57 years come good. It will not be this season, we will not progress while Thelwell Stewart etc are at our club. Thelwell is a charlatan and if our new owners are serious about returning us to where we want to be they better wise up.

Not sure if something is lost in translation ASA, generally when somebody says 'not literally' the general indication is the word 'criminal' has been used in a manner to express their disappointment at the poor decision not that the person genuinely believes criminal activity has taken place.
I hope this clears things up, I would have expected that this type of statement is a globally recognised term?

Really Asa? Clearly lacks understanding of situation and lost all sanity? Yet points are valid? That makes total sense and not at all insulting.
I'd say actually that a pretty clear and reasoned assessment of the job they've made so far. Yes we're financially safe at the moment, but everything they have done since has been a complete failure which they have openly admitted to and we've been worse all over the park despite huge spending so again sunshine is right.
However as he also acknowledges it's not to late and under Rohl now they can begin to fix the mess they've made if they make the big decisions as he says we need to make.
