I'll ask a question to all on here that i was asked myself last night by a fellow bear ?To one and all, if we don't beat motherwell and celtic will/ should philippe clement get sacked and a new manager again appointed, for the second half of the season ?My answer was he should be given the next 2 transfer windows irrespective what happens against motherwell and celtic imo ?.

In my opinion we need to beat Celtic, I’m struggling to see a long term future for PC if he can’t beat them. I believe our best starting 11 are capable of winning but we’ll see in a few days.
Our performances have improved however, we can’t only perform 2 months a season, PC must improve the consistency or he will have failed.
I’m struggling to see him being sacked this season and I’m fearful for who we would bring in, I think he needs the next two windows to improve the squad depth before losing his job.
That will all change if we have another poor old firm performance and Celtic win by 3 goals.

nope we have to stick to a strategy and allow someone to build, Folk who think even a Pep or a Alex ferguson could turn over celtic in a season are deluded, Not about accepting mediocrity it’s about knowing where we are right now and planning for the future with a clear idea of how we move on. For the first time in a long time i see signs of it! Even the 55 season we spent out with our means and couldn’t go again! Our squad right now is no where near capable of being consistent enough over a season! We’ve all seen with the best 11 on the park we look good, But when for example Nico and Souttar Danillo are replaced we’re miles off it! it’ll take a few windows and some Tramsfer funds to get close imo!

I'm in agreement with Chris Boyd that Clement has 2 games to save his job. 12 points behind at the moment.

I honestly don't know what to think about Clement. Seems to be one step forward, two steps backwards at times.

No sorry he gets to march for me by that time if there is not a significant improvement then he needs to go. Then a new manager put in place to work with the players for a few months to work out what he needs in the summer. I’m sorry but this it will take a few seasons let’s come second for a few years makes me feel sick. we are spending good cash on players now and should be seeing results not be 12 points behind before January even starts.

Why would we sack him, we are on a long term strategy and the league is probably gone this season, bar some dramatic results. We are still doing excellent in Europe and have the cup to look forward to, oh and january recruitement window. Stay firm.

Mark that’s my thoughts one step forward 2 steps back, I can’t remember much about st Mirren game as I was steaming can remember the roar from the majority of the pub I was in when they scored right enough.

Storm, I was watching the game and we can have no complaints about the result. St Mirren were more up for it than us. I think the board will stick with Clement, whether that's the right thing to do, i don't know.

The big question is . Could anybody else do any better with those players and very little money to replace them?
If the answer is yes, then he should be sacked because its his fault, if the answer is no than what would be the point, we will finish second, got to one cup final ( his third) and have done what we expect in Europe. We are doing what we would expect with the resources we have .

if someone arrived back from holiday you wouldn't need to know the last match result as the conversation would be around how many games you give the manager. As we are Rangers let's just give them 1 match contracts and see how we get on. Yes I know it has been bad for forever but the sack the manager happens after every bad result. it doesn't matter who that manager is unless he wins every game fans won't be happy. a bit of realism is needed.

It’s very very difficult for us to beat them . They have had the upper hand for far too long against . Their confidence is high and BR seems to build on that without any of them becoming complacent. With Rangers players it’s mostly doom and gloom against Celtic with deep down a fear that we are going to get beat again . It’s very hard to beat a confident and winning team.

Angus you are not speaking for a large section of the support, you may accept being 12 points off the top before January and not been anywhere near consistent and failing to beat teams with a significantly lower budget than us, that’s your opinion to accept it that's it.

He’s been in a year and we can’t beat St Mirren yet some want to give him two more windows and we will probably be worse by then! How bad does it have to be for some.

Rosevale I am only speaking for me and I know that and actually don't care what other fans think TBH (shock horror) . I am pointing out the hypocrisy of fans last week being so positive because we had won or even performed well in a couple of games and at the first defeat it is all so dreadful again. a bit of balance.
