Am I a fan? Do I buy merchandise, tickets. Shares? Really is that your question to a fellow supporter
I have not bought shares I am fan I buy merchandise and I'm a past season ticket holder and still help my daughter pay toward her season ticket to go along with her BF every home game they attend.
Work and other commitments and distance stops myself.
Not that any of that is any of your business
and I'll say you have some nerve even asking a fellow supporter such a ridiculous question?

I do not run the club down at every opportunity and put plenty of praise on regarding players and manager at various times again not that I have to answer to you

You did say you heard from board members or directors they were sounding out Davidson and Parker you posted as much on this public site I really couldn't care less the club will alert fans if at anytime the manager has to be changed.

Well said Stig for sharing your feelings. Myself and my Wife are also ex-Season ticket holders, initially in Govan West, and latterly in Section H row A of the Main Stand, I also was on the Committee of a few Rangers Supporters Clubs over many years, before work commitments and latterly now my age and location have stopped me from travelling to as many games.
You are correct my friend in saying that we are all equal on this Forum, all views are welcome, sometimes we vent our feelings through frustration at how the Team is performing or the lack of information that is emanating from The Board, either way if our Directors have something important to tell us, they will do so when the time is right.
Keep posting my friend, your views are mostly well balanced and thought out.

Thestig I enjoy your posts the majority of the time and I may have missed John saying this but it doesn’t sound like him. It sounds more like TT a to me than John. He pulls people up and then does the same thing to others that he has pulled someone up for.

Thanks mate - but as you see from John26 response it was indeed him that asked those exact questions further down the banter pages
As you see he doesn’t except anyone being a true supporter unless your a season ticket holder or buying shares and merchandise
So we should ignore the armchair supporter who pays for sky sports and BT sports and Rangers tv all who contribute to the television revenue
Also the supporters who only buy strips but don’t. Attend games or buy shares etc
I contribute by paying towards my daughters season ticket for her
Also buy tops and pay for all the sky and Bt channels for watching not only Rangers games but all other football that I enjoy watching
But apparently I’m not a supporter just a fan
Never knew there was a difference as for me without being a fan your never going to support
but hey that’s just me.
just a horrible way to look at people and not for me I’ll gladly be ignoring from now on
As I said what’s discussed and mentioned in here will have no direct impact on how players play or how the club operates and to think it would is crazy.
Just because someone come one here to let off steam etc makes them no less a fan/ supporter as they will no doubt still be paying for all things I’ve mentioned while they still are able to.

I never seen those posts, I don’t go to many games anymore because life has got in the way. Especially in these times with everything going up bar wages am lucky I have a comfortable income. Loads of reasons why people can’t go to games anymore, but it doesn’t make anyone better than anyone else.
There is no supporter/ fan whatever you want to call it better than anyone else on here or anywhere else for that matter. If you have said those things John it is quite poor just my opinion I like both your posts.

I would say that someone who backs the team to the hilt no matter how we are playing, then they are a bigger supporter than the fan who greets at the first opportunity, gives up at the first opportunity and concedes titles at the earliest possible date.
Very few on here fall into the supporter category - but John26 is definitely one who doesn't bad mouth players, managers, board etc at the first sign of a poor result.
Not a lot of the rest of us can say the same.
Others can post their disapproval with constructive criticism ( we've had acouple of cracking posts recently highlighting this ) .
Others choose to post bile and nonsense about players.
Just my opinion.
P. S. I'll take John26's word over yours Stig on how the question was originally perceived.
Again just my opinion.
And we all know what they say about opinions.

I feel what John is saying is true, a supporter should back his players and club up even when things are not going the way us supporters think that should be happening (not many supporters know what the board are doing) that's my take on it.
