Few posts being rumoured that Lewis Ferguson will be joining us by the end of the week, tbh I'd rather this than signing Davis on another contract, can't see it myself but wouldn't mind it as much as I'm not really a fan of the way he plays, think he's a dirty player but has overall decent stats, catch 22 type of player.

Does anyone actually believe he is good enough to take us to the next level?
We have already stood still by rewarding McGregor, Davis and Arfield new deals.
Ferguson signing would just confirm that opinion.

I don't think Ferguson would be a starter, as I think Jack is better than him.

That said, how many seasons does Jack have left? Ferguson to me seems like an ideal replacement.

Also, look what happened when Jack was out injured - we sorely missed his aggression and energy in the middle of the park, something that Ferguson definitely brings to the squad.

Not for me…a poor mans Ryan Jack. In midfield we need a player with vision and skill to unlock teams and who can play a killer pass….

If it as for around £2.5million it might be worth a gamble as he would be a decent stand in for Jack which we might need, but even our oldies in midfield are better than him . Also another midfielder to get in Lowry and McCanns pathway, do we need that?

Its a squad game its not about dropping people he's just gave davis a new deal which i think is a shocker as he's not fonna play anyway. Ryan jack injured a lot if the time also. Kamara could be away yet to EPL. Then were now short in the middle.

Coops he can play when Jack is injured as he hasn’t got a full season in him. Also I think kamara may be away if we get a suitable offer for him.


I don’t think we will sign Ferguson I think it’s made up Twitter BS but if we do he will get plenty of game.

I’ve said it many times before that Fergusson could do a good job for us.

He’s a decent player who will thrive playing with better players and getting superior coaching.

May not be a 1st team automatic pick but Davis, Jack and Arfield will have to be replaced next season or two and he will develop into an excellent replacement.

Ferguson is a really good player and at 22 would improve. Some fans seems to think Wright who couldn’t get a game for the same team who’s now 25 can still develop.
