Once he gets a call up again for England which I think is coming up then his stock goes right up

Its been said we turned down a £5million bid by Forest in the last window, not Jack himself . If that's the case there can`t be a £5million release clause otherwise we would have had to agree and let him decide .

Having seen a fair bit of the other English keepers, i do not see how Butland does not get a call up. He is head and shoulders above the rest in my opinion.
He makes top quality saves and also he rarely makes a big mistake/ blunder, which a lot of top keepers (not just English) are prone to. Hart is an absolute bomb scare and I have had many a laugh with friends of the green variety in the past, not that Hart is anywhere near the English camp these days.
Butland has been one of the best signings for Gers in a very long time.

Bar you are correct southgate is loyal he was playing Maguire even when his form was rank rotten. It will be hard for a GK to break into England squad unless of injuries.

Southgate is loyal but not stupid. He can see with his own eyes the saves Butland is making in our team and will be keeping an eye on hime. Especially if we get beyond the next round in Europa as he will be playing at a high level right before the Euros which some others are. not doing at the moment.

Personally I think Nick Pope is the best England keeper and now having watched Butland regularly I don’t think he is far behind. Never understood why Pickford is first choice, I don’t think he is a very good keeper, I rate Ramsdale a bit more but both him and Pickford just have that plonker persona about them. Henderson looked like he was great but has drifted a bit and been injured. Southgate has a decision to make, remain loyal to players, some of whom aren’t playing or pick players in form, suspect he’ll go with the former but right now I think Butland should be in with a great shout from f making the squad.
