Another bid in for Trusty from Arsenal, Beale has met him personally along with some of the board and he wants to come.

Another bid in for Danilo and obviously Dessers and Cifuentes are close to being done officially.

Having the majority of our transfer business done for the middle of July would be exceptional and the board should be commended for. Bisgrove and Bennett fully believing in Beale.

I know Davies met with Beale in January regarding a move and he ultimately rejected it. I’d be surprised if Beale still wanted him.

If Rangers paid anymore than £5m for Trusty I would be amazed. I think he will cost around £3.5m with sell on and add ons.
I don’t think we will pursue Danilo now that Dressers looks close to completion unless we sell Colak and 1 of Hagi or Roofe.
Cifuentes should be concluded next week same as Dressers with Trusty or Panzo but unlikely to be both completing the signings unless a few move on or we get Champions league football.

From a contact in Liverpool with links to Everton and local Media, Beale has met with Davies on a couple of occasions. My understanding is that Davies didn't turn Beale down in January. He was recovering from an injury and at that point in time he hadn't decided where his future lies but wanted to get back to full match fitness.
Like John and Beale I understood that there was a further meeting in May.

He missed the end of last season with a Hamstring Injury and has a history of Hamstring injuries.

There is reputedly interest from Leeds and from Italy, Bologna being one of the teams rumoured to have expressed been in contact with his representatives.

The last I heard, (mid June), Beale retained an interest. I am in the North West on Business next week and will see if I can find out what the current 'rumours' are.

Copland, the conversations in January with Davies were in respect of a move at that time and Davies was still trying to get back to match fitness. I don't think it was a straight knock back, as I understand it, the timing was not right for a number of reasons, Match Fitness being one and wanting to help Everton stay in the EPL was another, however my understanding is that he always planned to move on when his contract was up unless Everton gave him guarantees of first team football. The new contract has been on the Table for a while.

I would love us to sign Davies but I am pretty sure that he would want the same assurances from us regarding game time. Last I heard Leeds wanted him and there is a rumour this morning that he is also wanted by Sheffield United.
I would also want to be confident that his Groin issue has been resolved.

I will hopefully find out more over the next couple of days while I am in the North West.
