Firstly don't shoot the messenger here fellow bears, as i'm only sharing with you what i've just been told by a shareholder, who got told this news by a former rangers director ?He was told that a few of our board members don't believe that gio is the manager to bring the league title back to ibrox and some within our board have strong support for ole gunnar solskjaer to possibly be our next manager ? I don't know if John26 or any other bear has heard anything of the sort but i'm only sharing what i was told ?How true it turns out to be i honestly don't know ?.

Tbh if we have directors who think that help is needed. I thought RW was on charge and he pick out targets for the board to approve.

Ole. Jeez would rather scott parker ???.

We are a fickle bunch after 2 poor performances we post these rumours myself included how about let's all get behind gio and players and see where the nxt few games take us.

11 sep 2022 20:55:51
hi coops, the truth is that nobody knows whether a manager will be successful or not until they are or they aren't . ole could be the best, he could be crap, who knows

did we expect ange to win the league, did we expect tuchel to be sacked so soon

we could bring ole in and he wins the league. all this talk of no way would just disappear, who knows, but, imo having watched every minute of every game, i have grave doubts gios team can win 755 of away games, don't know what you think?

8.) 11 Sep 2022
11 Sep 2022 21:01:23
First it was Scott Parker?! Now we have Ole Gunner Solskjaer?! Who next? Gary Neville? I wouldn't trust our board, or DoF, to pick a horse in a race, but even this bunch of useless skin can see these names have disaster written all over them? Then again, If that walloper, Park Jnr has any say in it, then anything is possible. And before any delicate soul, who won't hear a bad word about our board, pipes up with 'what about Gerrard', it was King who brought him in. Remember, the Park's brought in Pedro. How did that work out?

11 Sep 2022 21:14:06
Sir Walter, not doubting your rumour, I think ole is in the same bracket as gio. personaly I'd like the board to look at how we should play then take a manager/ coach in within that style. were a top 2 team in spl fighting for the title each year. realisticly should we be playing 1 striker. unfortunatly I believe the other team got this tactic spot on when they appointed the manager. In my opinionabsoloutly pointless taking a manager on that's played defensively or whatever, not saying he has but personaly think it's a side ward step if so.

10.) 11 Sep 2022
11 Sep 2022 21:24:10
Board doesn't pick the manager, Wilson does. If if it was ole I think I'd top myself.

11.) 11 Sep 2022
11 Sep 2022 21:30:55
Is that the same board who appointed him as manager? Thought he was leaving to work with the Dutch FA, now it's the board who want him gone. Certainly would save Rangers money if he were to leave on his own accord. Thought we were getting Parker then Dyche now Ollie. Brilliant.

12 Sep 2022 08:11:03
No1 called gor Gio to be sacked before the Cdltic defeat DSgerfan. I agree our football isn't the best but I'm no of the opinion he should be given at least till break the chance to show us he's the man slso I'd hope many of the injured players would be avsil by then.

19.) 12 Sep 2022
12 Sep 2022 08:35:31
If that's their choice the board needs to go.

20.) 12 Sep 2022
12 Sep 2022 08:38:20
Jesus Christ, no, Gio is our manager. I'd rather Derek McIness take over than Ole.

21.) 12 Sep 2022
12 Sep 2022 09:21:32
I don't believe that Gio can bring this spl title to Ibrox, his away from in the league is nothing more than average, he seems tactically clueless at times, that run in the el last season covered up a lot of cracks, had sg have stayed i believe we'd have won the title last season, he had the beating of Celtic, the two times we've played Celtic at parkhead under Gio we've looked clueless.

22.) 12 Sep 2022
12 Sep 2022 09:40:49
Very interesting coops, certainly haven’t heard that rumour but I wouldn’t discredit your source. I think anything is possible.

I agree with storm ? not a joking subject.

24.) 12 Sep 2022
12 Sep 2022 11:11:32
Everyone is blaming gio but when you think about it out team has been notoriously slow starters in games all the way back to warburton. wven last year under Gerrard we struggled and only reason we were top at start of that season was smelltic were in a terrible state.

Our board watched Celtic take the title and it was obvious to everyone that this was a far diff smelltic who started the league, they then had a good transfer window while our boards arrogance let them fail to strengthen until hagi got injured and panicked signed a couple of loan who have no grounding in club and were never planning to stay no surprise we lost league smelltic then proceeded to outlay millions on improving Thier squad and gave thier manager freedom to identify targets our board responded by cheapskating our manager even though said manager took us to a European final won us Scottish cup narrowly lost league prob more to do with individual errors than his tactics and took us back to the champions league after selling his best player in bassey and losing aribo and a director of football letting Kent and Morelos issue become a saga.

Yet some of you blame manager confidence is a fragile thing and can't only be lost on the park but within club and gio certainly isn't the one to blame for that.

25.) 12 Sep 2022
12 Sep 2022 12:01:10
If this rumour is true it looks like we are going for a 'name' rather than a good attacking young coach. (I'll leave the experts on here to decide who that is)
And no one was crying for Gio to be sacked/ let go until the job with the Dutch fa came up?
A couple of simple press releases would stop all this speculation. But as we've seen, this lot don't give much away.

26.) 12 Sep 2022
12 Sep 2022 14:46:29
I highly doubt Gerrard was winning the league last season. We was very poor up until Gio Taken over where we did look decent until January. Which has been the case with this team since Warburton.

27.) 12 Sep 2022
12 sep 2022 16:28:34
callum, were rangers not 7 points ahead when gio took over, how can anyone highly doubt we would have won the league mate.

28.) 12 Sep 2022
12 Sep 2022 20:03:12
Tom, i honestly think sg would have delivered that title last season, imo Gio blew it and looks to be heading the same way this season as well.

29.) 12 Sep 2022
12 sep 2022 22:10:52
he blew the league mark of that there is no doubt, quite spectacularly too imo . hard to think we wouldn't have won the league if stevie hadnt left.

30.) 13 Sep 2022
13 Sep 2022 04:47:36
Mark44,not having a go mate and you're correct we did have a 6 point lead when gio came in, so who would you want instead of gio as our manager ?.

31.) 13 Sep 2022
13 Sep 2022 06:58:27
Go for big another good post
It is down to board.

32.) 13 Sep 2022
13 Sep 2022 09:31:18
Water, I don't know who the next manager should be, all i know is this isn't working in the league with Gio, I'm not sure if we should stick with him or replace him, I'd hate to start again under a new manager, at the same time i don't want us to fall further behind Celtic, when Gio came in i thought he would have done better in the league, I don't like his style of play in the league, I think we over achieved in the el last season and under achieved in the spl, for me the spl is the one trophy i want to win the most each year and anything else is a bonus.

33.) 13 Sep 2022
13 Sep 2022 19:47:24
As TT said, this is a Rumours Site and it may or may not be true. Given his previous choice of Manager alongside an Ex-Director I certainly wouldn't want Parks Jnr., anywhere near the people choosing a Manager.
As for winning the league last Season, I do believe that Gerrard would have been successful although in reality he was never going to stay when he did not get the players he wanted. He has already stated this.
If GVB was to leave I would be interested as to who we would secure. It is often said that rangers are a massive draw. Others say that they would like a Management Team of ex players. Personally I would want a top manager with a track record that was given total control of transfers. Under the current Chairman that is not likely to happen. The alternative for me would be another Souness / Gerrard type that would themselves attract quality players that wanted to play for the name. The thought of Parker fills me with dread!

34.) 13 Sep 2022
13 Sep 2022 20:52:51
Our board made a massive mistake not backing Gerrard the summer we won the league, a successful manager should have been backed, we should have tried to get the players he wanted, I've got serious doubts whether GVB can succeed in this league, I've seen little to suggest otherwise, imo we've fallen behind Celtic under GVB, it would cost a fortune in compensation if we sacked him, part of me is hoping he takes this Dutch job, as for Scott Parker as manager I'd rather have Parker from thunderbirds.

35.) 14 Sep 2022
14 Sep 2022 02:24:08
I don't think Gerrard had it tactic wise I think gio shows signs that he is good in that respect over two leg ties. I think half the problem with Gerrard and now inherrited by gio is Gerrard over spent on players.
