Not a rumour
Is there any truth in us actually looking at this Roberts lad?
Cos I've just seen WBA knocked bk 4mil from Leeds for him.
I know we can get him for 300k thru that loop hole.
We should be pulling out all the stops to get this boy!

1.) 20 Jan 2018 19:28:18
Wouldn't imagine WBA would knock back £4 million if there was a chance if he comes to us they would only get the development fee. Not sure how this one will pan out.

2.) 20 Jan 2018 21:17:31
I've watched the YouTube videos and I know these clips can make anyone look good. But I like the look of him and I'd like to see him at ibrox. For 300k it's a no brainier surely.

Not a rumour; I believe we will win the title this year quite comfortably. We dropped 10 points to killie, that won't happen this time.

Not a rumour - FACT (an oft word used on this Forum :-) )

2.) 26 Jun 2019 14:12:20
You're right, it'll be 12 points dropped this season.

Not a rumour.
Listen fellow bears there is a lot of speculation over the new captain, but for me it's a no brainier big shagger all day long! At this moment in time!

Frazyul

1.) 27 Jun 2018 12:06:56
Never been keen on keeper/ captain if I was forced to pick I'd go first choice goldston 2nd choice still Lee Wallace if he can resolve issues with club

2.) 27 Jun 2018 12:22:13
Frazyul. Good shout, But personally I believe it should be an outfield player, Alves if he is still at Rangers or Tav, But we will have to wait and see who SG picks

3.) 27 Jun 2018 12:32:10
I like lee Wallace as a player but for me he isn’t captain material

4.) 27 Jun 2018 12:53:55
If he can stay fit I would give it to Jordon Rossiter. He was the only player after the Progres game who had the balls to come out and speak to any reporters and was very honest in his assessment. Also he showed more passion in the Hibs game (5-5) than any other player had showed over the course of the whole season. Easy decision for me.

5.) 27 Jun 2018 13:58:51
Agree with you Kev, think if Rossiter can stay fit he will be our standout player. Also showed a lot of maturity against Hibs in the last game of the season telling the players to calm down and use the head after Alves equalised. Seems like he has a good head on his shoulders to be a captain for years to come

6.) 27 Jun 2018 14:33:56
Wallace for me

7.) 27 Jun 2018 14:58:53
Arfield or Goldson

8.) 27 Jun 2018 15:44:58
I think one of our CB’s should be captain tho Rossiter is a great shout and he’s been a captain right through the age groups at club and country level. He’s got everything a young B. Ferguson had and a little bit more at that age.

9.) 27 Jun 2018 19:00:11
Wallace is not a captain or a leader, people need to realise this quicky. Mcgregor or goldson easy.

10.) 27 Jun 2018 21:14:57
For me definitely rossiter with Goldson vicejas we haven’t seen him perform yet or vice ver

11.) 28 Jun 2018 06:52:56
Rossiter has managed just 11 games in two years.
As someone who has followed the Rangers for 50+ years I would say this, you don’t get handed the Rangers Captaincy, you have to earn it, in some clubs being captain is nothing special.
We are Rangers, we are different our captain must be seeped in the traditions of our club he must have earned the right.
He must be prepared to run through brick walls for our badge, Greig and Butcher spring to mind in that aspect.
Any player that walked away in 2012 has lost any right to be our leader.
Anyone that is not totally immersed in our club is not qualified.
Therefore for me there are only two candidates at present Lee Wallace and James Tavernier.

12.) 28 Jun 2018 10:08:27
There are a number of options but the one person that should be no where near the captain's armband is Wallace. He is not and never will be a leader and we need a proper leader on the pitch. McGregor is and obvious as is our new centre back or Arfield and I certainly wouldn't discount Rossiter or Tav.

It was supposedly nearly done has went very quiet though

2.) 20 Jan 2018 18:59:09
Wow Kfraser what a total rocket you are. This is the same guy who told us all that Whyte, green etc all were the messiah all to sell season tickets to line his own pocket. Remember the gardening leave costing the club a fortune we didn't have as well as pocketing those penny shares?

That idiot is firmly up there with Whyte and green and anyone who thinks otherwise is totally deluded.

P. S. This is not ally the player but ally the mercenary and total joke of a manager

3.) 20 Jan 2018 19:26:51
He was put on gardening leave by the board he has bills to pay like me and you - if my work or better your Work put you on gardening leave and you could still get paid you hon stay tell me you would say, you know what no your all right just keep your cash we’ll that's nice if you. Me and maybe ally on the other hand need the money to support family and pay bills most people would have done the same
And at the end he problay thought he was getting done over after the years he gave the club and he def would not be on the wages half the football players get nowadays compared to back in his days - yes still be alotbut 60,70,80 plus thousand a week
And if I’m right he has a few kids wife house etc to keep

4.) 20 Jan 2018 19:31:56
Another thing what is this calling other blue noses a rocket?
Honestly look across the pond they all stick together and back each other like most football supporters
So behave and and have some respect for people opinions and for your fellow bears buddy.
Sick and tired of seeing fellow supporters on here mocking each other and name calling just because they have there own opinion

5.) 20 Jan 2018 19:42:55
Was Ally one of those who took advantage of an EBT?

6.) 20 Jan 2018 19:57:27
How many took advantage of an EBT? Back then and how many of us would take the same advantage when maybe you didn’t realise or know what would happen if you took the EBT option how was it portrayed across to the folk who took them
It’s not illegal
There’s a loophole nobody can do anything
It saves the club money
It saves you money
To be honest don’t know about anyone else I certainly never heard of it or knew anything about it til it all came out
And if rumours are correct we’re not the only club to have done it just the only one that has been taking to court for it?

7.) 20 Jan 2018 20:21:09
McCoist is a legend, always will be. McCoist told us all about backing green etc at the time because that's what he and the rest of us believed at the time. Do you honestly think that if McCoist knew any different that he would lie to us just to get season tickets? Utter nonsense! McCoist tried to hold the club together when everyone else was ripping it apart! Walter smith would not have been successful under those circumstances, what chance did McCoist have? He was entitled to every penny owed to him! You could see the stress on the man's face, you could hear the stress in the man's voice during those years. He was the only one that stood by and tried to build a competitive team for the league and the cups to try and ensure a great club like ours was not humiliated on the park. Youth would not have cut it! Its an absolute disgrace that so called rangers fans tarnish McCoists name! Legend then, legend now, legend forever!

8.) 20 Jan 2018 20:30:28
Get a grip of yourself Rabc10000!Calling a fellow bluenose a rocket and absolutely castigating a true glasgow rangers legend! Us true bears DON'T treat our own like that! Simple as that! Have a word with yourself!

9.) 20 Jan 2018 20:34:23
excactly coldo - you said it all
👍

10.) 20 Jan 2018 22:46:37
just a thought guys if mccoist hadnt wanted to stay when we went down, do you think there would have been a shortage of managers queuing to step in? second biggest wage in scotland with a pretty much guarantee the league would get one, pretty sure we would have found someone else stepping up to the plate. he was a hero to me as a player growing up, doesn't escape the fact he unfortunately is a god awful football manager

11.) 20 Jan 2018 23:23:56
If WBA knocked back £4m then i can't see us getting him and he must be signing a new contract otherwise they would have accepted the £4m rather than lose him to us for £300k

19 Jan 2018 09:53:09
Super Ally thinks the bears would welcome back the fat man, he failed at Newcastle so what can he do for us?

Frazyul

1.) 19 Jan 2018 11:21:15
Not this again. How many times, we don't want the fat rat anywhere near us

2.) 19 Jan 2018 11:54:47
Please just shut up Ally. The fans do not want Ashley.

Why does he think it is a good idea to come out with this keech?

3.) 19 Jan 2018 13:59:37
I have a sneaky feeling Ashley will return once Newcastle sale goes through. King will be forced to purchase all shares and will then sell. Not sure how I feel - club cannot continue with loans to keep afloat and Ashley investment may result in us being able to compete again, but can’t forget his actions over last couple of years.

4.) 19 Jan 2018 15:40:51
unfortunately agree Gers09 mate.

5.) 19 Jan 2018 17:02:21
Would the fatman really be worse than king? No fan of fatman but he's got much deeper pockets than king

6.) 19 Jan 2018 17:04:16
Gers09, spot on. The way we're currently being run can't continue.

17 Jan 2018 08:47:12
Championship clubs looking to snap up windlass on the cheap.
I think the boy has a bright future I'd like to keep him, but if he goes any less than 3mil and sell on fee is bad business from us!

Frazyul

1.) 17 Jan 2018 09:40:08
We offer £300k for good from Hamilton (a scot and rangers man) which is about a third of his value. Then come to the wacky idea that JW is worth between 10-20 times good worth. good would run all day for us, JW looks a player for 20min in some games.

2.) 17 Jan 2018 10:16:17
Can't bid 300k give or take for Docherty or Jones and then ask for £3m for Windass😂😂 we would have a bit of a cheek mate surely!

3.) 17 Jan 2018 11:01:29
I don't want to sell him at all. I think with better players around him and hopefully a more settled team he'll only get better

4.) 17 Jan 2018 11:04:07
Why the rush to sell him were trying to build a team! Windass is far from the finished article but I reckon he's a late bloomer, his desicion making has to improve wrong ball a lot of the time or takes a shot when chance to slide someone in! That will come and then we've a player on our hands

5.) 17 Jan 2018 11:13:59
Isle of mull would u just want us to sell cheap then because I don't?

6.) 17 Jan 2018 11:16:03
Calven55 same question to u as well mate

7.) 17 Jan 2018 12:14:22
We would struggle to replace Windass for less than £2m, he is a main player for us until Dorrans is back and even then Dorrans may play further back, plus if clubs know we have money for Windass then they will increase their asking price for players. It’s simple, you hang onto your asssets until such times as an offer becomes too good to refuse, in this instance I’d say £4m with an sell on and I don’t believe he has realised this value yet so hang onto him until he does.

He has done ok so far and is another who will benefit from better service!

8.) 17 Jan 2018 12:16:26
Windess is poor imo and I'd be glad to get 500k for him. When all players are fit he wouldn't be near my 1st 11 now.

9.) 17 Jan 2018 12:59:18
Regardless of their abilities, why would anyone query the principal of buy cheap sell high with Windass and Docherty and Jones.?
Next time I'm selling a bike I hope one of you fellas who are upset our initial bids are too low turn up, you're bound to offer me the full amount incase you "unsettle" me.

10.) 17 Jan 2018 13:46:38
I don't want us to sell anyone cheap but bidding 300k for Doherty and Jones then asking for £3-6m for JW. Just not going to happen. All I'm saying is be realistic. Anyway our main problem is getting Alves off the wage bill then we could get even more players in and Bruno wages would cover all our loans deals

11.) 17 Jan 2018 14:35:24
We need to buy cheap and sell high. That means we offer other Scottish teams as little as possible and aim to get the best return on every player we sell. Hopefully we're starting to trim the wage bill down as well. Once we get the team sorted financially and get the academy turning out decent young players then we can stop replying on soft loans.

12.) 17 Jan 2018 17:27:21
If we can get in excess of 800k for Windass I'd take it. He's been far too inconsistent, even more so than Mckay was but doesn't have the ability of Mckay IMO. If that can pay for Docherty and keep money in the back I'd say that's good business for a boy we payed a development fee for two seasons ago that hasn't really produced.

13.) 17 Jan 2018 21:00:23
Jzer you’ve just saved me from writing out that post mate. spot on👍

Bale would score a barrel load in spl, he’s big strong and quick and can smash them from everywhere! He’d rip teams to shreds including Celtic! Be a fantastic bit of business!
