It was reported late last night that Nice are going to make a final day bid of £10m for Glen Kamara. The report from the Sun said his agent had been ‘thrashing out personal terms’.

We have lost too many of our good players ie Bassy, aribo, these guys where game changers, we need too bring in top quality first team additions before letting anyone else go
Box to box mic like evander too fill aribo n kamras role if he goes

Woul like an out n out centre back too cover, if davies n souter are struggling to get back (how ever long it maybe, and wedeffo need another goal threat too cover cholac n morelos. Even if morelos dose come into the fold witch i hope he dose whos too say he will be firing on all cylinders.

If that's true and nice do offer us £10million for glen kamara then he's sold guys, providing of course that kamara wants to actually go to nice ?Rangers will sell for that sort of money ?.

If we sell Kamara, and fail to replace him due to running out of time before the deadline passes, then we have just made life much harder for ourselves? However, I can't see that happening. I would expect a replacement, of the same calibre, or better, be brought in to replace him.
I believe Kamara was going to start on Saturday alongside Lunny in midfield, If he is sold, who takes his place? I can't see any new player starting unless he's up to full speed. And even If he is, do we risk throwing him on against them for his debut game? Remember Sands? Davis is too old, and I can't see him starting. Jack is so off his game, so do we risk starting him?

Id hate to lose him, but may be the move that's needed to freshen up the midfield.

No way we sell kamara now. That's my opinion.

Yeah I think the board are happy to make money for their own pockets. Lack of ambition. Celtic are ahead in squad size now and under lennon they looked so far behind. If celtic win the league again its down to our board. Plenty of quality free agents yet they sit and twiddle thumbs it's pretty bad and I'm usually quiet on this stuff.

It's from the Sun, however if its true we ain't turning that kind of money down. Remember he hasn't really played under Gio this season although his performance against PSV was exceptional. If we don't replace him then its gross mismanagement from the club.
Let the madness commence!

8.) 01 Sep 2022
01 Sep 2022 08:13:45
Is it just me thinking that Gio or the board have let us become a lot weeker team than last season we could be making it easyer for the Dims.

Wish we would go for jake cooper centre back he would be a good solid addition solid quick no nonsense, we need cover, even a loan for a season. Think with celtics pace in attack we might struggle n get caught out in the counter.

I’d be shocked if we sold and didn’t replace him. We don’t desperately need the money and he never seems to be shouting for a move.

11.) 01 Sep 2022
01 Sep 2022 08:30:22
I doubt we will sell him unless we have a replacement lined up to come in before the window closes.

DSG no its not just you, we ARE weaker than last season and Celtic have strengthened, and we were not good enough to win the league last year so what are the chances this year? Saturday is a huge game and we will get an indication of where this is going after that. Seems like the board are content to play second fiddle to Celtic and hoard the cash.

Some seriously deluded posts here! The board lining their own pockets? The same board who kept us afloat? Lack of ambition? First time in the CL for 12 years but no ambition? Making it easier for them? It's up to them to make it easy, not us. It's madness how some people think!

We just qualified for the champions league group stage for the first time since 2010

Off the back of runners up in the Europa League

Are we a much weaker team DSGERSFAN?

We have refreshed our squad with a mix of youth and experience, with some really exceptional players

Although he may take a bit to settle, u watch Yilmaz at the end of this season, regular Turkish international already at 21, the guy is quality

For all those calling out for a marquee centre back, we have been unfortunate with injuries but we have Helander, Davies and Souttar all to come back soon

We need more creativity IMO, striker/ AM/ RW be happy with one from those three

Give this squad a chance.

Do the bouncy King kept us afloat. We have made what northwards of 100 million in 2 seasons? We need 2 or 3 more quality players. Of course the lining of pockets is going on!

Mental Breakdowns this morning!

I agree with letting players go and not replacing however we have replaced!

Lawrence is an addition. Tillman is already better than Aribo and Bassey has been replaced by Davies who has family issues right now. Colak is way better than Itten. So stop spouting absolute nonsense.

I’ve banged on about also selling Kamara however he looks like his head is elsewhere! Does not look interested at all. If that’s the case then he’s worthless in that state!

If Kamara is going then a body will come in.

2 blue in what sense are we weaker?
We've replaced Aribo with Lawrence who I predicted would have more assists and goals than aribo. Gives a solid 7/ 10 every week which couldn't be said for Aribo. Aribo was a very talented player but went missing a lot in games.
We've replaced Itten with Colak. enough said!
We've replaced Bassey with Yilmaz and Davies. Durys out so I'd say we are a bit stronger.

I will reserve judgement on whether or not we are better when the window is shut. I think we will all be looking t the accounts closely to see where all the money we have generated is going. Even if we don't sell Kamara I think we are short, Saturday will show us were we currently are.

24.) 01 Sep 2022
01 Sep 2022 09:35:56
You do know the players we sold you don't get the full fee upfront. U get a chunk of it and rest instalments for most transfers.

How have me made £100m in past 2 years Kirkcaldy?
We posted a loss last year.

Deemc, re. transfer fee's being paid in installments. Same thing applies when we are the buyers.

Kitkcaldy. i'm embarrased for you to be honest. Board lining their pocket? The same board who have been tiding us over with soft loans?
Im not an apologist for the board but a bit of balance and level-headedness required, along with some realism!

Not sure about the "we are now weaker " argument . We had to sell Aribo and Bassey and we have replaced them with Lawrence, Tillman, Davies and Yilmaz . We have replaced Itten with Colak and Balogun with Souttar and added Matondo . The squad looks stronger on paper but it will take time for one or two of them to settle.

Sorry I need to say just as we signed ridvan everyone in here and else where for that matter all had the same opinion on our transfer window. And that was it was a really good one we have brought in 2 defenders to replace bassey we have brought in a sticker that’s hit the ground running to replace itten. We have brought in Lawrence, matundo and Tillman all after aribo left in what way have we weakened the squad? Lawrence and Tillman have got the ground running Davis and souttar we are yet to see really anything from because of various personal issues that we are all aware of. Ridvan will take time to settle he’s a young boy moving to a country and a team where there is a massive amount of pressure and expectation to. Matundo other than the game the other night there actually looks like he could be good. Colak scored the goal that got us into the champions league! Tillman looks like he is going to rip the league apart. Lawrence looks like he has already figured out what the club is all about and again looks like he will be solid. Let’s not forget we still have hagi to come back. The only area of the team that is weaker than last season is the keaper and that’s not saying McLaughlin is bad he’s just a step down from mcgregor. We have got rid of some of the fridge players that where never going to get near the team. And made some good money from players we brought in for zero or next to nothing. Just because there hasn’t been anyone in since we signed ridvan doesn’t mean it’s been a piss poor transfer window we have brought in 7 players not everyone will hit the ground running.
