So yes, whilst the club have brought in very welcome income this season. The reality is the vast majority of this is already budged for and therefore there is little wiggle room for additional signings to be made.

Worrying not bringing in anymore attackers if Colak Kent Tillman or Lawrence get injured before Buff or Hagi return we’re absolutely stuffed as anyone waiting in the wings isn’t near the standard we need especially in Europe. Don’t think I’ve seen anyone lose the ball more than I did with Scott Wright against PSV. Matondo has shown glimpses but ultimately more bad moments than good and Fash the less said the better. Will see what happens but what seemed like a promising window has come to a bit of a crash at the end can’t see us keeping up with that lot across the city when they’ve got people coming off the bench providing genuine numbers and ours more often than not turn the game for the worse. Got to keep the faith but stevie wonder can see the weaknesses in our squad and going into the season with them is not a good thing. Would even test Hearts reserve on Barrie McKay and bring him back.

Kent is expected to sign a new deal, will be a 3yr extension. Alfredo meanwhile is 50/ 50, deal was on the table however the club removed this offer, Alfredo is now unhappy with this and wants to leave, club have made it clear, he will not leave this window and told him to buck up his ideas. In his current situation, we would be lucky for £5m, club see better value in keeping him till January after a good few months of form and getting a similar fee then.

Re Sands and Tillman, the club had budgeted this in the 2023/ 24 transfer budget however club are looking at the possibility of sanctioning these transfers in January as such the £5m for Tillman and £4m for Sands has been ring fenced for the 2022/ 23 budget.

SDI (Mike Ashley) deal was settled out of court for a total of £7m. Advice was that the club would have lost this battle and as such the £7m settlement was reached, lower than the likely £11.4m however with this SDI have exclusive rights to sell Rangers items and castore have also agreed to give them exclusive rights.

Bassey1, just to clarify, we do not get £40m for UCL, will likely be around £30m at most. To achieve the £40m we would need to win every game in the group stage.

We have already made well over 10million with the psv and usg games and guaranteed 30million from group so we have banked over 40m as it stands.
