Hopefully we are bringing in quality players that can walk straight into the side, a goalkeeper, a quality midfield player and a striker. Don't really mind who goes if I am honest. Tend to agree with EHL, right now after yesterdays performance I am not impressed with any of our new guys except maybe Lawrence. Difficult admittedly when some are sat on the bench or not even in the squad.
Hopefully anyone we sign is fully match fit and not carrying a history of injuries!

I trust your info John25 regarding us possibly rejecting a brighton offer of £7million for alfredo morelos ?I honestly couldn't see alfie going to brighton as although potter and reid are doing a terrific job with the seagulls, they are very unlikely to be playing european football or winning trophies?I just don't think even if rangers agreed a fee with brighton, that buff would sign for them?.

Brighton can have Morelos and Kamara if Rangers received somewhere between £15m-£20m in total. Give that money to GVB and allow him to bring in 2-3 players of genuine quality. Guys good enough to walk in to any team in Scotland.

I’d sell Kent right now as well. We can’t allow Kent to sign a precontract with someone else in January, then leave for nothing. If he’s not going to sign a contract then sell him and replace him.

We’re running out of time and there’s still a lot of work to be done. I expect things to get crazy after Wednesday night game - Especially if we win and get that extra cash injection.

I'd have Kamara in my starting 11, but it's clear he's not in Gios plan.

If we could get £10m for him and reinvest that in the other Yilmaz and Olaru I think our midfield would be notably stronger.

If we can move Sakala, Roofe or Fredo on then I'd like to see a striker with genuine pace - heard we're monitoring an American player who fits that bill, but I think he's one for the future.

They mentioned we were keeping a very close eye on a young American forward who's currently playing in Germany, I think he's currently on loan to a team in their second tier.

From what I could gather he's very quick, very powerful but also very raw.

Quick powerful and raw…. we have plenty of that. Get Lovelace introduced to first team squad this weekend. He’s quick, very young and very powerful…. but can finish. We have a lot of what we need in house. i'm no having this Lowry out on loan crap either unless he’s definitely been unprofessional over the summer and came back in bad shape then maybe bud we were all wanting this guy involved. He scores goals, composed and plays killer passes that no one really does barring Davis.

Storm and ehl I think you are both right on one hand it doesn't matter where they are from but on other with gios main experience being in Dutch league you would expect him to identify a couple of bargains from that league. I'm affraid modern football clubs managers no longer signs the players and it's the club that scout you can see that with guys like Lawrence, souttar, Davies but I also believe sands could have been a gio pick with the whole city group thing.

I do obviously see the requirement for a good creative box to box, a striker if Alfie plus sakala or roofe depart but a third fourth option striker could be Lovelace in my opinion. And Lowry should be getting minutes in our squad if he’s fit, no Tillman on Saturday…sparse creativity, Lowry is a direct replacement, at least in squad and getting mins.

There are only two USA boys I can think of as forwards in Germany Hawkins who is more of a winger and not much of a goals record and Pepi with the way things are looking with Kent and Lovelace I'd say Hawkins looks more likely bet.

{Ed001's Note - there are loads, they do a tie-in with the MLS and every year the best youngsters from the USA go over to train with Bundesliga teams and a number always get signed. They are usually out on loan or playing for B teams or under-21s etc but there are quite a few of them.}

Would have been happy with vydra a year ago would be ok as a number 3 choice but at 30 on back of a serious injury I'd rather look to Lovelace or other youth than vydra. Last thing we need is to take a risk on a guy that's just had a serious injury. and I would have bit hand off for vydra a couple years ago.
