Tav, interesting several championship and league 1 clubs, who are willing to take up the remainder on his contract and pay Rangers a small fee to cover the transfer admin costs, sounds similar to the summer exits of Goldson etc. Plus side is it would free up his wages for any January acquisitions.

Its just what was touched on in the media. That we paid off there remaining contract. I guess we will find out in next years accounts. It was gospel on here remember that was settled out court with elite for under 1 mill. Well that turned out to be utter nonsense.

Or perhaps they ment with Sakala etc? As the accounts show the previous year we only took in 800k in transfer fees even though we sold kamara reported 5 mill sakala reported 4mill and colak reported 2.5mill. The 800k figure is due to the pay offs of players.

Let him see out the year and give him a testimonial. He doesn't have to start games anymore but this crap that people give him is disgraceful. Almost 500 games and this is the way people treat him. They should be ashamed of themselves. that's not supporting its the oposite.

I am honestly not concrete on lammers but i know goldson got a rather large sum when leaving.

Goldson was on so much money and his replacement gets so much less, with only a year to go, it might still have been a good deal to pay him something but if we paid up his contract we don`t save anything so financially it would be better to keep him. Football wise it would aslo have ben better to keep him because his replacement is hopeless. Can`t see us paying off Lammers because he would have a long term deal and it would have cost us a fortune.
a lot of these things in the accounts aren`t as simple as they sound, there will be moneys owed in transfer fees for the likes of Lammers that still have to be paid and in the case of the Elite deal would the money quoted not include all the costs associated with this suit not just the settlement paid to them .

It has been reported on various sites we got
4 million for sakala
2.5 for Lammers although I understand that includes addons
1.7 million for Goldson

It’s not to say we did not pay them off although I don’t think we did.

For some of the deals that are being discussed, Rangers will may use a portion of the fee as an incentive to encourage players to leave - however we would still gain financially from the deal, otherwise we wouldn't sell.

On the Tav rumours, I think I mentioned on the live chat at the weekend that the feeling around the club is he will not see out the season.

Wigan seems to be where the majority of the rumours have him heading.
