Hearing tonight there's concrete interest in Japhet Tanganga

Going into his last year if his contract, Spurs looking to sell. Been on loan at at Millwall since January.

SDR

1.) 07 May 2024 21:36:33
Boy saying he's looking forward to working with Ange at Tottenham, apparently done well at Millwall, might still be a goer though. ?.

2.) 08 May 2024 08:09:11
He's a good tall solid ch exactly the type we need.

3.) 08 May 2024 10:50:44
Very very fast and would be great at centre back for us.
Really like the player, came thru at right back and was impressive aswell.
Reminds me of wan bissaka who imo should’ve been a centre back as his attributes are height pace wins almost every challenge he’s in for on the ground.

4.) 08 May 2024 11:23:07
I think a couple years up here will help is development and could give us a healthy profit

Regarded far higher than CCV in the Spurs academy apparently

Get this done quick I say!

5.) 08 May 2024 12:53:10
Be surprised if this is true, he’s linked with a number of clubs including Italian and Premiership clubs.

03 Jun 2023 08:26:35
Was talking to my mate Scottish mate in Florida last night.

He mentioned that we have been watching Facundo Torres of Orlando. Don't know anything about him.

Also, he's hearing that the Celtic board have reached out to Phil Neville.

SDR

1.) 03 Jun 2023 09:03:54
phil neville to do what.

2.) 03 Jun 2023 09:09:37
Hearing David moyes is getting lined up as ange replacement.

3.) 03 Jun 2023 09:32:27
??? As soon as you mentioned, Neville, that was it! ???.

4.) 03 Jun 2023 09:39:44
Who cares if angela or davina moyes is there michael beale will chase them out of town once he gets in his own squad in the door.

5.) 03 Jun 2023 09:45:54
As much as I’d love it to be true Celtic wouldn’t even hire Phil Neville as the kit man. Moyes seems more realistic he had a bit of a grin when asked about it in one of his pressers.

6.) 03 Jun 2023 10:16:28
I seriously want ange to stay so Beale can beat him.

7.) 03 Jun 2023 10:16:48
Watch all those Celtic fans turn on him in a heartbeat.

8.) 03 Jun 2023 10:17:40
Haha, kit man belter ?. I hope moyes does get it as a fukin hate him already, so I’ll be an easy transition. Though fat Ange isn’t Epl calibre is he?, i'm very surprised that spurs would have to stoop that low. ????.

9.) 03 Jun 2023 10:34:44
moyes seems likely but i also thought they may have went for potter. if he's still unemployed when ange moves i think they would go for potter.
moyes was cery close to phil neville. perhaps he would bring him in as a coach if the op is being serious. they do have a long standing relationship.

10.) 03 Jun 2023 10:42:40
I said just cause he’s ran the English women’s team doesn’t mean he could handle 50 thousand phannies at parkhead every other week!

11.) 03 Jun 2023 10:45:08
Hope they stay away from Potter, i still believe he'll be a top manager.

12.) 03 Jun 2023 11:01:08
The Neville brother's are finished with management, they talk a good game, but that's it.

13.) 03 Jun 2023 11:09:05
Potter will do well wherever he goes and would have been a good fit for the Gers.

14.) 03 Jun 2023 11:19:18
Phil Neville , ta for that I spat my tea oot . Scott Brown for Spurs, might as well keep the comedy going eh?

15.) 03 Jun 2023 11:42:23
We'll have at least one scout that works for us over in the mls constant, been linked with many players from that league.

16.) 03 Jun 2023 11:59:41
Potter will do well where ever he goes lol, ermmmm Chelsea.

17.) 03 Jun 2023 12:10:21
Never got enough time at Chelsea.

18.) 03 Jun 2023 12:10:44
Pansy Potter? the guy behind Potter is Billy Reid and he could get a job himself and succeed in it but prefers to assist now at 59.

19.) 03 Jun 2023 12:11:48
Think Potter will fancy another bash at the prem. Someone will give him the chance I’m sure. If moyes leaves the hammers could see him there or at palace or something. Even Leeds he might go to and try get them back to the prem.

20.) 03 Jun 2023 12:15:59
If they go for Moyes that will be the 100 miles an hour attacking football out the window . He would completely change the style and probably get rid of a lot of their attacking players. I don`t think their board would go for that, they would want someone to carry on the same philosophy, how about Kevin Muscat, they all said he should have a shout at the Gers job because he would play the same way as Ange. I am joking, by the way.

21.) 03 Jun 2023 12:24:02
Dont see them going from ange to moyes, moyes is a defensive minded manager, he's openly said he can organise a defense and midfield but struggles with playing expansive footy, heard that's why (i know lol) he got warburton in as a coach.

22.) 03 Jun 2023 12:28:57
SDR. ???.

23.) 03 Jun 2023 12:32:38
i think potters a great coa h and i don't think what happened at chelsea was his fault.
the club was an absolute riot the chairman took it upon himself to be head scout cheif exec dof he's have been aswell doing the team talks infact was he not a regualr in the dressing room at times with speaches etc?
i rhink potter will be back and di a great job at club level before taking the english national job. he fits the fa style if manager/ personality.

24.) 03 Jun 2023 12:38:05
??? PMSL there, SDR! C'mon guys, that was comedy gold right there. Superb!

25.) 03 Jun 2023 13:08:17
I read an article earlier, if ange did leave which i seriously doubt,
Martinez is the one celtic would hope to get, as he plays attacking football, just like ange ? However couldn't see martinez leaving the portugal job for celtic just now ?.

26.) 03 Jun 2023 13:15:49
Is it going to be Angies Tottenham Hotspur because I'm sick of hearing his name on here, it's Poste. pstegog. potseco. the fat Greek.

27.) 03 Jun 2023 13:40:33
Far better with Aaron Neville, But then I ' don't know much '. sorry.

28.) 03 Jun 2023 14:02:11
Potter going to Chelsea was the wrong move him said it at the time, horrible club Chelsea and there new owner is a nut job.

29.) 03 Jun 2023 14:03:12
Permanently surprised Martinez now is it, I saw that chancer play for Motherwell comedy gold . How he keeps getting jobs is amazing, anyone on here could have done better than him with Belgium .

30.) 03 Jun 2023 14:06:45
Kennedy will get the beggars job, cheap option it's what they do, they have been biggin him up for a month now, maybe Lennon in to assist, but it will be cheap and they will sell players repeated many times over the past 20 or so years .

31.) 03 Jun 2023 14:25:31
I thought your english club was chelsea stormtrooper ?.

32.) 03 Jun 2023 16:07:05
Potter already applied for a job, at the garden centre.

33.) 03 Jun 2023 16:28:35
Celtic are busy tracking down the missing sections of there upcoming ring fenced stadium deal, for angies departure.

34.) 03 Jun 2023 16:39:44
Ange has done well everywhere truth be told.

35.) 03 Jun 2023 22:08:17
Changing my mind here, I think that I want him to stay, he has brought quite a few players in that have won the T so how does he think that he can improve his team that he has bought. ?

Arron Lyall returns to Murray Park this week after his loan spell at Airdrie

He played some games and for some experience, helping the newly promoted team make the play offs, scoring in the narrow defeat when going out to Thistle

B team player of the year last year (& maybe players player not 100%), end of contract this year, he's in the press saying he's hoping for another year, but never had a chance

Has played pretty much anywhere from the midfield onwards.

Given the players leaving, given the injuries, surely it's worth giving him a go so we can see what he can do.

13 May 2024 20:08:03
The BOD need to massively up their game here. Yet again we are having to have substantial player turnover over the summer, which will result in PC having to string a run of wins together whilst embedding a new team.

He will be under unnecessary pressure and be handicapped. The board need to try to find a solution to recruitment once and for all, and sort out players contracts in a timely and effective manner. Also; they need to try time the sells right as well to get top dollar

They need to up their game as well.

SDR

1.) 13 May 2024 22:06:33
I've said it before but new investment and new blood in the Boardroom is badly needed. Just like the team the Boardroom is stale. Too many non-execs that bring nothing to the Club.
Time for change.

2.) 13 May 2024 21:13:28
Good post, we have been poor on this front for some time.

3.) 14 may 2024 00:27:05
you said it before bb

i must have missed it.

4.) 14 May 2024 07:40:08
I might be missing something here but what is it we expect the board to do that they arent?

They've absolutely backed managers where possible. Beale brought in how many players last year and PC already saying he's confident qell do a good amount of business.

Financially, were looking much better than before and in my opinion the club is close to being run in the right way (onfield success is the final piece of the puzzle to enhance the player trading model)

From a fan experience point of view we're making moved in the right direction (ie seat geek etc)

Even when it came to managerial appointments, I think they done the right thing and took their time, brought in souness to help and appointed a high calibre coach.

What is it the board aren't doing that they should be?

5.) 14 May 2024 09:01:50
I sense a lot of positive change under John Bennett. The one major thing we need to stop doing is building a team in the image of a particular manager as managers are transient; they leave to bigger leagues if we’re successful and they are made to leave if we’re unsuccessful.

We need an overarching football policy where players and managers are recruited to fit within our playing style. That style can obviously be tweaked and moulded by the football board as global footballing philosophies develop. However, I think most Rangers fans would want a team full of heart and endeavour and I would welcome a core of good Scottish talent with a smattering of continental and international flair.

John Bennett seems like an intelligent man and I’m sure he will be a sound custodian of our club.

6.) 14 may 2024 09:22:42
but you are correct bb,
the board have been stale, nit all but some inactive non execs, we do need fresh 8mpetus to push the club firward, deep down some will have believed the league, and champions league cash was in the bag, ma8nly because it should have been,

that's been thrown away so we have to do ut the hard way but fresh investor and impetus is required,

Question - You start with 4 defenders:

Tav Souttar Davies Barisic

You need to hook 1 for a tactical switch, who do you choose? Order them 1 to 4

Me:

1. Barisic
2. Davies
3. Tav
4. souttar.

SDR

11 May 2024 06:41:03
Would love him to be adventurous and try something a little different today. A 3 5 2 with Lunny sweeping up any danger at the back and Tav as the RWB and either Ridvan / Yfeko as the other

With Sterling central and Roofe and Dessers up front

Would need a disciplined performance and to have been worked on but it could just out fox them.

SDR

1.) 11 May 2024 08:55:52
Roofe ain’t match fit hardly played a game
All season.

2.) 11 May 2024 07:52:44
I would love to try something adventurous too, and actually try to win. That's all I'm interested in!

3.) 11 May 2024 07:56:15
Honestly, I'd try a 4-3-2-1 formation, normal defence, dio + sterling and lunny in midfield, Cantwell and Lawrence attacking with dessers up top, tav and ridvan running the wings.

We could have lunny and Sterling falling back to defend and dio being the box to box midfielder. Cantwell and Lawrence are in there for obvious reasons and dessers just in case he can get lucky.

4.) 11 May 2024 09:07:27
I don't think we have a 3 at the back that are quick enough, mobile enough, smart enough or hard enough to play that system, but I like the system.

5.) 11 May 2024 09:13:52
SDR you have something there, I don't think BB will start and there just maybe something PC is planning, The players have all been gagged this last week and everything coming through PC, DS could move around and have a pivotal role.

6.) 11 may 2024 09:38:46
absolutely correct rtr

whatever team goes out must go out with a win at all costs attitude

nothing less will be good enough, systems, patterns etc matter not a jot without the correct attitude

thats all we ask.

Good to see young Aaron Lyall making his debut on Saturday, then winning player and players player for the B team as well this weekend.

Looks like he could be the one next season to get a chance.

I would be willing to bet less than 5% of season ticket holders would play BB. If PC plays him his judgement is clearly questionable, imo.

Make no mistake, BB is a liability and a bottle merchant. He will be a rabbit caught in headlights. We all know this, even Borna. He shouldn’t be anywhere near the stadium.

FWIW, I get it’s a ridiculously extreme view and probably OTT, but there’s a title to be won here, not to be gift wrapped and handed to them due to our own utter naivety.

If Barisic starts Big Phil deserves the sack

Every single one of us can see he’s a liability and bottle merchant, I would honestly rather play with 10 men.

From Bassey and Sterling I think they will be looking at talented academy players ready for first team up here.

I agree wholeheartedly with this

Whilst I think it’s massively harsh sacking him, I think he’s proven he’s not the right man for the job, so why give him the biggest window in living memory, we did it with Beale and it’s clear it was a massive mistake

If it was just 1 or 2 signings coming in and out I would probably say give him a go at it, but it’s not.

Not backing SG that summer was the start of all of this.

The board know another re build is required

If the season finished 6 games ago no one would bat an eyelid

However, they are discharged with acting in the best interests of the shareholders. It is their responsibility to ensure they hand the summer transfer budget to someone they fully back and believe in. is PC that man?

Let’s take it further, what are the common attributes that go into being a good rangers manager that the board will be assessing his performance on?

Tactical Nous

Man management

Results

Performances

Improvements since he came in

European results

Specifically results performances and decisions in the pressurised matches v Celtic

Does he pass them all with full marks?

I would give him Europe, and grinding out results since he came in until crunch time.

He is making an awful lot of questionable decisions / mistakes.

He’s showing a stubbornness to change despite it clearly not having worked previously

He’s showing a reluctance to address blatantly obvious personnel issues

We are continually losing in the same areas against them and are no better then we were

Has he done enough to get the summer? Probably

Do I think he will bring his players in and his shortcomings will disappear? Probably not

If he is going to be given £20 odd million to rebuild this squad then the board need to be sure he’s the right man.

Being honest I don’t think he has proven he is

Would love to be wrong but I doubt he will be our manager this time next year.
