You can look at Sterling or Fernandez being terrible but it's got much more to do with this formation. You cannot go into these games with two central midfielders And two lightweight wide players. (Gassama is too terrible.)
Rankin and Neil aren't an away from home two. We keep losing points away from home and it's the main reason. They need a third player in there.
I think the reason lies more in having limited attacking threat from fullbacks. Sorry, zero. He feels he needs wingers and it then leaves us so light in the middle.
Someone needs to put me in touch with McInnes so I can fix this for him before he completely blows the season.

It was obvious we need a third player.

Definitely needed another midfielder. Young Dragojevic must be sick watching that. He surely must offer more than was shown tonight. Can't believe I was roaring at the telly for McInnes to make changes. Why did he wait so long when it was clear whatever we were doing wasn't working? My wife was convinced I was going to have a heart attack 😞.

Totally agree we need more strength in the middle, and I would be leaving out Neil for a few games anyway. However, we should remember that we have already played all the other top 6 teams away from home. I would have taken this position when the season started, given we weren't looking good at all pre season.

Totally agree John 👍🇬🇧 Makhanya the only one above pass marks in the Rangers team for me tonight 🤔🇬🇧.
