Phew, that was close!
Couple of thoughts.
First half, some excellent passages of attacking play but we still can be very easy to play through and attack.
2nd half, for some reason we stopped doing the things we were doing well in the 1st half and it was a slog.
Gassama looks a different player. Fighting for the ball as well. His end product needs to improve but he's young. Couple of times he got us 60 yds up the park when we were hemmed in.
Really like Penrice. Constantly busting a gut to get beyond the winger and delivery good.
Naderi again worked the defence the whole game but nothing stuck with him. In the 2nd half we needed an outball to hold it up and let us get out. Again, he's young and this will improve.
All in all a good night. 3 pts is what matters and we move on.
Ironically, I think the way we won last night will give them more confidence and more of a lift than say if it was a straightforward 2-0 win for example.
Loved that Miovski ran and cuddled DM. That tells you a lot about the mentality and spirit he's getting into this squad.

I also noticed last night, when we gave the ball away or misplaced a pass, they immediately said sorry to DM, maybe the stories were true about Del and he is really a good man manager.
