I'm happy to give McInnes a chance, but i have serious doubts about the quality of his back room team . none of them have an impressive track record surely we could have attracted a better group than the guys who he employed at Killie.
Also not bowled over by the set piece coach . His track record is not sparkling either and his impact so far has been zero!

Coisty, Beale had worked at Liverpool and Chelsea
Billy Reid is the man who should be brought in. He's out of work at the minute as well.

Bringing in a set piece coach from Barrow seemed really strange especially as, by all accounts, that was only part of his job and they weren't very good at set pieces. Just another example of the lack of quality we are now prepared to accept through out the club. I just wonder too, who " found" him or did he apply on Linked In.

When Gerrard came in, apart from McAllister, in all honesty, who did anyone have prior knowledge of, and how good they were, etc?

Jaws, I had my usual knee jerk reaction in the aftermath of that debacle on Thursday. I wanted McInnes away as did quite a few on here. However, I've had time to think over the past few days, and have come to the conclusion that he should be given time to get it right. Something is very wrong about the whole set up at Ibrox, and to lay the blame solely at the manager's door at this time would not be right imo.
Hopefully, we get the players we want in and out, the window closes, and we can knuckle down and press on. That said, the knives will be out again if we falter against Aberdeen and especially the OF double header. No doubt I'll change my mind again very soon. It's so frustrating when you know there is undoubtedly talent in the squad, but we have not been able to figure out the winning formula. I live in hope.

Blue, imo, working as an under 14 coach, and developing a program 6-8 year olds hardly constitutes working at Chelsea.

John, if you're talking about Beale, I remember an interview with Declan Rice when he was at West Ham, name checking "Micky Beale" as a coach who had a big influence on him at Chelsea. Maybe he never worked near the first team, but Beale was certainly a highly regarded coach in his Chelsea days.

He is a decent coach, but never worked with top players. In fairness, when we signed Sterling, Beale said he remembered how good he was at under 8s.
