It might be the worst start we could have wished for, but it's where we are. McInnes isn't suddenly a bad manager - he is what he is. He'll get a solid shape given time. But our obsession with getting new players in and out of the club - is that our biggest issue just now? I thought - given it's been our biggest issue for years - would be to build from the back with a settled back 4 or 5, and replace Raskin with someone who WILL demand the ball, drive standards around them, and push the younger guys on. Our obsession with forward and wide players just now seems ridiculous when we can't keep a clean sheet and seemingly don't know what our best midfield is.

Creative outlet looks like it's Theo - and he just does not demand enough of himself or others around him to be the guy that's going to drive this team. We need someone to lead in the centre of defence and ask questions of the players in front of him, and the exact same with a 6 who will do the same with one of them wearing the armband. Nobody in that squad can do that just now and until McInnes gets those two positions nailed down it won't get better.

I disagree, mate. Dm has always been a bad manager, he's won nothing in 20 years of management. But he's our manager, so I got to back him. It is what it is. Hope results improve or it's not looking good for him.

Wallace, what are you expecting him winning with clubs he's managed? His Aberdeen finished second four times, won a cup, got St Johnstone and Kilmarnock promoted, then had both playing European football, first time with St Johnstone, I think, Kilmarnock first time in 60 years, then took a Hearts team finishing in the bottom half before him to minutes away from winning the league, but yes let's sack him after 7 games and let's us continue going trophyless, any manager needs longer than 7 games, but a big percentage of Rangers fans won't give any manager long enough.

Why?

Everyone has an opinion and nobody can give a clear answer on how directly to change things, Wallace, but I cannot be getting involved with McInnes being a 'bad manager'.

What he needs is to button down is a system and selection that works for this group of players. I have no doubts the fact there is so much uncertainty surrounding so many players that it's impossible to drive the standard and level of application we need as a club just now.

So many of the signings are being turned over and sat aside year after year, with previous managers telling them how important they are going to be when they signed.

The recruitment has been a rubbish show. I think things will settle down after the window closes, but as of now we have Fernandez, Raskin, Gassama, Miovski, Aasgaard, Sterling, Souttar, Nsalia, Rommens, Cifuentes, Cameron, McCausland - probably some I've missed - all either knowingly want to move, wanting to shift on or rumours they are going. That's far too many players with other things on their mind. It needs flushed and a couple in to drive the others on.

TheMilton, agreed with players knowing they won't be Rangers players much longer, is certainly not helping our situation. I really can't wait until next Thursday now.

I have to agree, having all those players potentially moving on can't be helping the attitude of the team in general especially seeing guys like McCausland and Cameron sitting there knowing they are literally there to make up the numbers and have no chance of getting on. Miovski and Barron are being more or less pushed out the door but we use them when we are desperate, although I must say I thought Barron's attitude was tremendous last night and unless we get an outstanding bid, I really don't see why we want rid of him.

I also don't know why Raskin wasn't playing given that McInnes said after the game there were no offers in for him.

Well, he's managing the team badly right now, guys. Some of the formations and subs are baffling. I agree, it doesn't help when most of our team's up for sale, so much uncertainty in their heads for a young group of players. Star, you were probably scrambling about the internet trying to see what DM has accomplished, which is not very much tbh.

I really want him to do well, Bears, and win titles and trebles, but I just don't think he's a good manager. I never have, that's for him to prove me wrong. You could be right though, Star, he's never managed a club and budget like ours before, so this could be the making of him. I know we need to be patient, and I hope he turns it around.
