Great to hear everyone's thoughts around what we would see as the in-box for DR and the coaching staff over the Summer!

When we last won the league it was something like 3 losses and 9 draws in all competitions so around 16%. From that season and successive managers both our losses and draw rate has increased I would guess to mid 20%. So, what is loud and clear is three things in my view below

On the Manager and coaching staff
Train out a lack of "game-breaking" attacking quality, increase "chance" conversion avoid too much "safe" choices (good link play, low killer instinct).

Engine room
Midfield lacks late game dominance, and always draw heavy teams often control games early then drop intensity or creativity in final 30-40 minutes as the don't have midfielders who decide matches. You have to throttle and stam on the neck of the last 10 mins of 95+5 as "them" seem to do!

Leader
Game state management issue, A lot of draws or tailing off in games often means leading but not killing games, struggling to break low blocks or conceding late equalisers as no leader "queuing" (shout at folks) the team to stay focussed. A lack of that and some just introvert inwards and start to game manage their own performances.

These are just my thoughts as new poster recently but an elite coach in another sport but importantly a "Bear" since birth!

Welcome, IbroxSuiteBarman95. Curious as to what u coach now. We definitely lack leadership and it's clearly something Rohl wants addressing. Agree also about chance creation. Under Martin, it was all about just keeping and retaining possession, and that was what they signed, so changing that is difficult, and previous managers loved the horseshoe of just working from side to side with little penetration.

I think we ended still without really knowing what Danny wants, because he has tried to resolve both defence and then attack but couldn't do both together.

Hey Kaiser 79, cheers! Let's just say I will be in Glasgow in the summer, coaching wise! Yep, agreed, you can look at all these names being chatted about, but you need to start with your leaders or voices first. One I like is Gogic at St Mirren.

Sometimes when you give a chance of a lifetime to someone, they grab it more than the ones in the bubble of big clubs, and the reach is higher! Look at Barney Stewart as an example! That is why I urge caution on lower EPL average teams buys, aka the have "all the gear no idea" types and structures! It's the hungry ones with the 10 year old hatchback you always see last to leave training, and desperate to make a name!
