Happy Birthday to Doddie McDonald today. A really good midfielder for us who would do anything for the club.
Not the most skilful midfielder we've had but always gave everything. Remember a few European ties where he did a man marking job on better players.

Hear, hear, Shanksi. Before my time supporting the club, but was a loyal servant for 12 years. Great to remember these guys.

I watched Doddie a lot, and he never looked out of place against the likes of AC, Inter Milan and Juventus. He was a very good servant to Rangers.

Agree, irvger. Always surprised he rarely gets mentioned when discussing our best midfielders. Also only got one cap for Scotland.

Doddle was my favourite player growing up. (Just ahead of Sandy Jardine.) Mainly because I thought he epitomised what being a Rangers player meant. Afraid of no one, great belief in himself, and massive pride in the jersey.
He loved a goal or two as well.
Incidentally, he struggled in his first season, but buckled down to become a genuine legend. Loved the guy.
