Maybe we don't like hearing it but sport science is used at every football club now, the thing I believe Clement got wrong was not starting Cerny or even Igamane, he probably regrets it himself now start them even if we only get one half from them, but any player we've got should be able to beat Motherwell, up until the last couple of games there was plenty progress in our performances, storm a blind man could see it.

Dowell wouldn’t get a game for Motherwell and he played him, minimum required up here is that you match the other teams effort and desire and players like him can’t.
31 Dec 2024 06:08:33
You sound like you are trying to convince yourself with this narrative of progress in performaces because you're not convincing anyone else.
31 Dec 2024 07:31:13
Coully - 100% correct- Dowell should be nowhere near Ibrox and if we are saying that he is better or more committed than any of our youth then its time to shut the big oak doors for good imho??.

I get what you're saying My star but sports science within our club, could most definitely lose clement his job mate?If cerny and igamane were fit to play 45 minutes with ease, he should have started them absolutely no doubt for me and then if you get a couple of goals up, then bring your best players off to give them that wee bit extra rest ?Unless they're injured, he should be playing his best team from the start simple as that for me?I like you My star was backing clement and i myself was prepared to give him at least another 2 transfer windows but some of his tactics and team selections are bewildering to say the least mate ? He's tinkering far too much and if he continues in this process, the inevitable will happen ?.

Come on your at it Mystar. Progress is over a season not a few games against Spurs and celtic (2 games we didn't even win) . We have one more point than Mark Warburtons championship side. How can you say that's progress? Martin Waghorn and Windess etc. You ain't fooling anyone anymore.
31 Dec 2024 07:50:30
If the manager doesn’t have the stones to pick his own team then he might as well become a sports scientist instead of a manager.
31 Dec 2024 08:47:00
Prod Rob, trying to convince myself lol, nope seen the progress with my own eyes.
31 Dec 2024 08:58:33
And 1 more point than the man that won us our last league JohnBrown, wasn't only a couple of good games either progress begin from the hearts game around 7 games not only 2.
31 Dec 2024 09:13:19
You need your eyes checked!
If you keep repeating yourself you just might start believing what your spouting.
31 Dec 2024 09:18:19
Aye that's cause we had a heap of home games. Were god awful away. Zero progress.
31 Dec 2024 09:19:24
Sunshine, so you never seen any progress from the Hearts games? I'm i surprised at, not a chance.
31 Dec 2024 09:19:28
Considering that was SG's first season with us after inheriting a complete basket case of a team, and spending less money than Clement, that arguement just won't wash, my star.
31 Dec 2024 09:49:56
A blind man can see it but the majority of fans can’t ? Mystar you are starting to a bit like verdant did with Beale you have backed him to the hilt and can’t admit you got it wrong. There has been be progress we have regressed and a blind man can see that mate.
See if you admit you got it wrong you will feel better about yourself.
31 Dec 2024 10:11:35
Sunshine so PC's first season with us and he has to get rid of the basket case of a team he inherited last year with the instruction to reduce wage bill and age of team and I prove the player trading model. he spent £1-2 million more than Gerrard from what I can see as well so there are a lot of similarities.
John Brown if improvement is seen over the course of a season then why is everyone complaining after less than half a season. it works both ways you know. there was some improvement as even Sunshine admitted recently but we have regressed again for some reason and it is our worrying away form which is the issue so if he can sort or improve that then that would be a good start.

I'll give you an analogy here: They built a concrete wall at the end of an airport runway in South Korea. If an aircraft crashed into it, it could explode in flames and kill everyone on it, but that probably wouldn't happen. Sadly, it did happen. The way Clement is managing the Rangers team just now, a similar catastrophe is just around the corner. I was expecting a period of improved teamwork, stability and progress, but that is not what we are getting.
31 Dec 2024 10:47:03
My Star progress at Rangers used to be going on a run of 15-20 games undefeated, for me with my own eyes this isn’t progress, and at the time I wasn’t like a few on here getting carried away with wins over Kilmarnock and Ross County. The best performances have came in Europe and I’m not discounting them but the league performances have been truly awful, you can also throw into the mix quite a few performances where we have scraped wins at Ibrox against the lower league teams, it’s alarming how far off it we are at this point and if it wasn’t for Aberdeen having a bad run then we would be comfortably sitting third.
It’s all about opinions and this is what the site is for I’m interested though for those who want to stick with the manager how bad does it have to get before you think we should change it or should we all just accept where we are now regardless of where we are in the league.

Rosevale. We are inconsistent and seem to have our poorest results away from home; does there home crown have a positive effect upon our younger players. Our first team starting 11 average age has reduced from around 30 during Gerrard's time to 28.42 in 2022 to around 25/ 26 this season with 6 starters in last 3 games all being 25 or under. Every expert says that with younger players comes inexperience and more so inconsistency. I have always felt with the younger players it will take time to get consistent performances which will lead to results. we see games where we are happy with the form and perhaps just a half (normally 2nd) where PC has 'had a word' or made changes.
So I am by no means happy with where we are but willing to give time for us to gain experience in the league for our younger players learning how to play against each team. I think if we change manager that process still needs to be gone through.
BTW Aberdeen were given as an example of a new manager but they haven't won now in 7 or 8 so was that just the new manager bounce people claim all managers have.
