There’s a large proportion that think Beale’s time is up (me included) but that’s not going to happen just now. What changes would people like to see to the tactics/ personnel/ formation?

For me number 1 priority for personnel is drop Dessers and play Danilo in the central role.

I’d also strongly consider a back 3. I’d play Sterling Goldson and Davies and have Cifu and Raskin in front, Tav + Yilmaz wide and then I’d continue with the ‘wide 10s’ and have Cantwell right attacking mid and Lawrence left attacking mid. Danilo leading the line.

For me this would work as Sterling and Davies are decent enough on the ball and have enough pace to cover the wide areas when the wing backs go high giving us width. Stops us from being caught out with a simple overlap from a midfielder as the centre back can go wide with 2 still covering. Sterling can step forward as well if he chooses to in a similar way to Tierney for Scotland.

One of Raskin or Cifu could drift forward giving us 6 attackers, 1 to recycle the ball and 3 to defend. Tav and Yilmaz high and wide with the responsibility to drop back but not having to cover the whole wing as they’re doing right now.

Lawrence and Cantwell can drift in and about the edge of the box trying to pick up the ball and make things happen. On the defensive side both are hard workers so they’d be great to press from the front. Danilo stays constantly on the move trying to put the ball in the net.

Also gives us the option to change to a 541 if we’re up against a team that’s better than us.

I agree about Dessers needs dropped, even just for his own sake- loads of Rangers fans I know are getting quite angry about him starting ahead of Danilo.

Because he misses a sitter against Servette, it’s like Beale has taken issue with that but not the fact that Dessers is playing pure rubbish. If you drop a striker after they mis a sitter, it just kills there confidence. Danilo if given a fair chance will more than make up for that. I thought that was poor man management by Beale. How many times did super ally miss a sitter but Walter stuck by him.

I’d like to see Danilo and Roofe play together upfront, and just stick with it. No more changing from game. Roofe needs to stay fit though.

And I’d like Lawrence on the left. My starting 11 for a very hopeful recovery

Probably Ted, might be idealistic thinking but I believe that shape plays to the strengths of the players and also blocks a lot of our weaknesses. Keeps Cantwell up the pitch as well and stops him having to track back so much. Tav has the cover he needs coming from a defender rather than a centre mid being pulled out of position. In the attacking sense it gives us more width while also shortening the distances between the players if played right. Lots of younger guys in the team as well so should be full of energy and able to press high. Only issue is it lacks pace but we’ve not got much of that in the squad at the moment.

Yilmaz overrated not in my opinion did you hear his ex clubs fans when sold to Rangers thousands lost it, overrated players don't get his first cap for a good nation at 18 year old, I believe yilmaz is a talented footballer, injuries is his problem.

Posted a similar lineup mate only difference I had Matondo for speed instead of Lawrence and Soutter for Sterling.

I think it could really work DD. The 541 would keep us solid and cover FBs and when we attack it could easily transition into a 343 or 352.

Mind you I was told '541 Rangers will never play that way' and 'aye 541 in SPL that'll be fun' from the usual neigh sayers.
