Aye Norwich as rejected an offer for cantwell from another championship club and have no contact off rangers for cantwell and that's from sky.

We don’t need to contact Norwich if we’re signing him on a pre-contract which is what we should be doing first and then go to Norwich and say we’ll pay a small fee now or just wait til the summer and take him off you for free.

We all have different info and who we believe but in truth we don't know for definitely that cantwell is one of the midfielders we're actually trying to sign and have been talking to ? Time will tell before the end of this month but imo i hope to god that cantwell is one of the midfielders beale is interested in signing and i hope we get him either just now or at least on a pre contract ? He's a talented footballer that's for sure ???.

Think about it why would he sign a deal as a free at the start of the window would he not just do exactly what goldson Kent Morelos are doing or done by waiting to last minute incase a bigger better offer came in .

Time to use the head and not get caught up in the bull.

It’s common etiquette to inform current club that talks are going to be held but that doesn’t mean Norwich would put that out there. I’d expect a summer move would be sorted and ready to be signed then moves are made to get him in now. Norwich are paying a player they don’t play so I wouldn’t expect a crazy fee required for a player whose leaving anyway.

Gofor I think one big difference between buff, goldson and kent is that they are/ were playing so won’t have wanted to leave in January. He probably wants out now so is actively looking into what options he has on the table. If he signs a pre contract for someone the likelihood is it puts a lot more pressure on Norwich to sell him as they won’t want to lose what was one of their biggest assets for free. I don’t think there’s smoke without fire but I’d be surprised if we were the only team in for him. Norwich is a long way away from Glasgow as well (in UK terms) so he may not want to move this far. But then again that could be an advantage and the fresh start he wants. One of the biggest selling points we have to the guys down south is Europe and the people we’re linked with won’t get a consistent/ decent crack at European football while staying in the UK outside of the old firm. It depends what they value most- winning trophies, playing in Europe and playing for one of Europe's great football clubs or money. I don’t ever tend to agree with Celtic fans but their banner when Rodger’s left hit the nail on the head was something along the lines of ‘trading immortality for mid table mediocrity’.

True storm it's just weather the player wants to take a risk on getting a serious injury while outta contract or not (if he's hanging on to see what kinda offers come his way like goldson did . and he was definitely entertaining offers.
