I'm not sure on this one. He strikes me as a player who needs to feel at home, maybe needs an arm round him and given a chance.
Maybe we could provide that type of environment for him to really flourish.
As someone said, Makaay was a very very good striker working with him could spark him into life.
I don't think we will go for him unless Wolves allow a loan deal but can't see that as they looking for some of the 16mill they paid for this lad and his current deal has one year left I believe. Unless we get him at a significantly reduced price and they decide to cut their loses.

Don't know much about the wolves kid but EPL clubs pay way over the odds for potential so wouldn't read much into the price they paid. And failing there doesn't mean he can cut it here tho wolves have been desperate for a ST. I'm more concerned that he's had 3 loans and barely scored even tho played plenty. Roughly 1 in 10 record is hardly inspiring.

Have a look at his stats by club and by season on transfermarkt. His youth stats are great, first season in the Milan 1st team was good. Since then he's been shocking, irrespective of club. The boy has bags of talent, but i'd be amazed if he does anything other than score a couple of worldies and then go missing the rest of the season. We don't need a 5 goal a season striker. I could be wrong, we’ve turned players careers around before.

We've missed the boat on both Shankland and Nisbet. Too many screaming "not Rangers class" when we could have took a chance on them and not payed over the odds for them. Hearts and Hibs would want serious money for them now. Wonder if there were any shouting that Kris Boyd wasn't "Rangers class" when we were linked with him.

I thought MacGregor had a good game against the sheep and saved us right at the death. Their goal no keeper would have got to, guy placed it really well, the main problem was him getting the chance in the first place thanks to dodgy defending and not playing to the whistle.

John, Helander unlikely to play many games for us again. Souter always seems to be only 1 game away from the treatment room and young King (granted he is still young) will never be a first choice ch for Rangers so for you to say we have 5 ch is stretching it a little.

Why does anyone think we need a new keeper? Greggs and mclaughlin are more than good enough for domestic games. (greggs can still pull off wonder saves in his 40's) and we have McCrorie who's been begging for a chance for years now. And like a nother 3 wonder kids in the colts. It's the back 4 that have been poor this season (mostly through injury) you could stick two keepers in net our good isn't going to be much different until we fix the back 4.

He got an assist with a 2 yard pass mph, come off it. I love Alfie and have onstantly backed him on here but he is so far off the pace it's embarrassing. Look at the chance on 30 mins, he should be going through on his left and be 1 on 1 with the keeper, but he knows he has no pace and stops and cuts back on his right and the chance is going.

Ben Brereton Diaz - out of contract in the summer with Blackburn and easily one the best players in the championship. With Alfie not looking likely to get back to his best and still making very high wage demands we should cut out loses and offer Diaz the same if not higher wage - large signing on fee in the millions - sell on % too. All pie in the sky but he would show true ambition, maybe with CL football he could be persuaded.
We badly need a new keeper if young Robbie isn't seen as the answer and a move that wouldn't break the bank in the summer would be Arnaurd Bodart from Standard in Belgium 24, and a great young keeper valued around £3.5 million. Kovacevic from Rakow in Poland would be my number 1 choice but his reputation has grown and talks of his value soaring over 5 million now.

King Charlie Gerrard got more than enough patience. It took him 3 seasons before we win anything under him. Gio got 4 months more than he should've got putting us in a position were it's impossible to catch Celtic this season. If Gio went after the Liverpool game we would be at maximum 4 points behind if not closer.
