John he's hardly impressed here only in a couple of games, but this boy will go on and have a very good career, probably in Germany, I was really happy when we got him but things never worked out.

Feel a bit sorry for him he never got a real run in the team in his position due to injuries in the defence he played there though he’s not a CB and was judged in that position but with the reported new players coming in I can see why this would be agreed free up a place in the squad and a wage.

Don’t think the Scottish game ever suited him. Seems a nice lad, always gave 100% and was thrown in the deep end while playing out of position on multiple occasions without complaining once. I wish him all the best if he does leave and hope he can prove himself in the MLS or wherever he decides to go.

I actually think Sands isn't a bad player he's just not suited to our league / style, he's a vanilla type player just plods away I'd be devastated if we signed him for 2 million far less the 4.9 being banded about, I'd behappy if we terminated the loan in all honesty but no bad feeling towards the guy, just not worked out sadly.

Yeah it's hard not to feel sorry for sands has great reading of game and might do very well in a technical league in Europe somewhere but in blood and guts British football it's just a case of him being too soft.

Need that bit of aggression for Scottish football.

Not sure all the criticism on Sands is fair. He plays cb for US sides when he gets the chance. The problem is that domestically he's looked exposed as he's frequently the last man on the break. He lacks pace and his decision making is that of a midfielder while not having the physicality to compete as a cb he lacks the on the ball prowess for midfield in a rangers side. A slower paced league in a side that keeps a more defensively biased shape and he'd probably be alright at the back of the midfield.
