Rangers in talks w UEFA about playing or not playing Napoli next week.

1.) 09 Sep 2022
09 Sep 2022 20:48:39
Should play it.

2.) 10 Sep 2022
09 Sep 2022 23:48:22
No we shouldn’t.

3.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 01:11:04
Of course we should bloody play it, it's ridiculous that the games were cancelled. The Queen herself said she wanted minimum disruption when the time came and that everything should continue as normal. Nothing stopped when her father died either. Plus, it's only football off. Nothing else. Bad decision. False pretenses as you don't want another shaky result in a week.

4.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 04:54:13
Potential to play in napoli next week instead of ibrox. Not ideal for folk that's paid flights.

5.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 07:42:47
If that’s the case paul hopefully I get my money back or I’ll just go to Amsterdam as I was flying there 1st and eat some cakes.

6.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 07:43:40
TJ it’s not only football that’s off racing off for a couple of days the boxing is off.

7.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 07:49:34
whats more important football or our Queen?
football we can restart in a few weeks this is far more important IMO.

8.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 08:23:14
Would have been far more powerful to have acts of remembrance coordinated across the UK at the games than to not play them. Find it totally bizarre that even amateur football has been called off.

If the game changed to Naples then the club would be adding to its list of recent decisions that completely disregard the fans.

9.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 08:35:51
What do you mean this is more important. What exactly is this? A 96 year old woman has died of natural causes after a long happy life. Let's get real here.

10.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 08:36:20
Cancelled games this weekend is enough.

11.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 09:01:30
MikeGer! "What do you mean this is more important". Seriously?! You just asked that question? ?‍♂️
Yes she had a long happy life! Yes she was 96! So I'll tell you "what exactly" this is. She was our Queen!

12.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 09:05:33
Not just any woman mikeger! Our Queen. Some people. Get a grip.

13.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 09:14:23
Rugby still on, cricket still on. yes its a sad time, people entitled to mourn anyway they like. Ut someone saying stop football for a few weeks, seriously what does that achieve? Like another poster sid, a coordinated set of events, minutes silence/ applause etc and we move on. It's life, she had a great one one and a long one. Some people don't get time off work when their own parents or children die and people want the country shut down its bizarre.

14.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 09:14:40
Guys I think we ALL need to acknowledge that this is far more important to some of us than others.
Personality i'm not bothered about her passing. I feel bad for her family etc. However I accept that others are far more involved than me.
I would like to see games played as per her wishes and my interests but not at the expense of loads of people.
We are ALL blue we aren't all orange.

15.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 09:14:42
Get a grip man, football should never have been postponed.

16.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 09:16:28
Unfortunately if games went ahead in Scotland I don't think the respect our Queen deserves would be observed right across the board.

May be a factor in games being cancelled, would have been embarrassing to see.

17.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 09:26:28
I think she would have been better honoured by silences and events to mark her passing at sport this weekend. However what everyone is missing is that our public services are under massive strain, this particularly means policing is being diverted to Edinburgh and the route she’ll take to Edinburgh and to prepare and operate the events in Edinburgh with significant numbers expected. Health services need to be bolstered to deal with it also. The reality is the games can’t go ahead.

18.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 09:35:31
Just read article that said all English teams will play in Europe this week nothing been said about Scottish teams tho I think they will go ahead.

19.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 09:44:58
Some people need to show the lady the respect she is due we miss a weekend out big deal we miss about 6 weeks in the summer an no one cries about it

Cmon the ranger55.

20.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 09:54:37
Cooper11legend knocked nail on head mate great post ??.

21.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 11:07:01
Moment of silence?

Tell that to the heiarchy across the city

Your having a laugh.

22.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 11:27:46
Have a look at how most other countries react when heads of state pass away .
To a lot of people she was not just a 96 year old woman who had a good life and had passed away.

23.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 12:16:16
I'm not sure how i feel about football being cancelled this weekend, I can't understand why some sport has gone ahead, England playing cricket against South Africa today, surely it should have been all sport across the country cancelled or all sport being played.

24.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 12:24:35
Why should we not play it Mols?
Have we just got to run away scared?

Rangers shouldn't be scared of anyone but what I will say is we are playing well oiled machines, where we have been in the abyss for over a decade!

The difference is night and day to the quality we play in our league and there is a bigger disparity financially with Rangers and the top of the crop in football!

We now have to try go with the Ajax model but the problem there again, is the fans have to have patience and it can't be wholesale changes as we know it doesn't work like that!

The only way is to get a conveyor belt going that way we can spend good money on one or two QUALITY players to help the young development furthermore!

25.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 12:33:23
I think cancelling this weekends games was justified, also the games around the funeral would be right and proper. The midweek ones could probably go ahead.

26.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 12:50:20
It’s hardly disrespectful to have played this weekend. Shopping centres, bars, restaurants etc all open but you can’t go to a game of football! It’s nonsense and that’s no disrespect to the queen. Minutes silence and get on with it. No room in the schedule for all these cancelled games! What does cancelling football actually achieve? Is the right and horse racing not still on?

27.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 12:51:47
INTR why would you care what that lot do? If it was silence, applause or anything else and they embarrass themselves by doing something else then that’s up to them and will further tarnish their terrible reputation.

28.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 13:16:44
Monty we will just need to get ourselves ahead in the league by May and if games can’t be played then they can’t be played. They’ll just need to award the title to the team at the top as they have done before in similar situations.

29.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 13:26:20
Not just that lot Cooper11.

Did you not see the debacle at Tynie the other night?

30.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 13:33:08
Better we don’t play. The way team are playing we’re in for another tanking.

31.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 13:46:23
Silences? Did you hear tyncastle? Utterly disgusting can only imagine the piggery.

32.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 14:04:05
Rugby and cricket going ahead.

33.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 14:14:38
Iv already paid for flights and accommodation for napoli next month there will not be much chance of me getting my money back if the change it.

34.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 14:23:05
What you talking about bleed scared?
Nothing to do with being scared . although what our in readable armed forces went through in the past and of whom the queen represented so graciously… would make me scared even contemplating.

35.) 10 Sep 2022
10 sep 2022 14:41:16
i never thought i would see the day when rangers fans were like this but there you are, the queen is the nations monarch over 70 years.

36.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 14:56:51
So72

I was just at my boys semi final the day that wasn’t called off. They had a round of applause at the start of the game.

37.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 15:42:37
Minutes silence at the start of my boys this morning, impeccably respected. Fitting tribute.

38.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 18:18:49
55 not everyone was clapping at ours but that is up to them.

39.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 20:11:54
Most what I meant was people would probably not play against Napoli and give Rangers borrowed time to get their act together We are gonnae have to play them at some point!

I really think with football being postponed this weekend I'll admit I kind of glad as that Aberdeen game probably came too soon!

Napoli on the other hand is in the next week so i do think that will go ahead or even should go ahead.

40.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 22:31:56
Down a school in Coatbridge this morning and every team a minutes applause . to my understanding because of the mental side of things . kids don't quite get our end of things but they did well and took the adults head off of what is happening in this crazy world.

41.) 10 Sep 2022
10 Sep 2022 22:32:09
Aye I'm sure the guys getting blown up in Iraq by IEDs thought about big Liz when they seen the limbs of their comrades strewn across the roads. Times have changed and the monarchy means nothing. She has overseen nothing but the collapse of the once Great Britain and its absolutely tragic.

42.) 11 Sep 2022
11 Sep 2022 00:10:04
The guys in Iraq were fighting in the queens name … for you and for I … wether it being right it wrong that is the truth .
Lest we forget and I for one am eternally grateful to these brave service people ?.

43.) 11 Sep 2022
11 Sep 2022 02:14:38
A load of disgraceful replies insulting Queen Elizabeth the second, the Kings 11, her majesty ‘s family, ulster and everything Rangers have fought for in the last 151 years, shame on you all that have no respect for what Queen Elizabeth the second has done for the United Kingdom, Remember what King Charles the third said today what he is bound to protect in an oath for the United Kingdom and Scotland.

44.) 11 Sep 2022
11 Sep 2022 03:11:57
Cooper11god yes he swore to protect protestantism in scotland, which doesn't cater to more than half of our playing squad. The Queen had a long and happy life. She herself said she didn't want any fuss when the Time came. Stop crying about it fs. Riddy of a post.

45.) 11 Sep 2022
11 Sep 2022 11:38:27
What has the playing staffs religion got to do with Rangers history and what the clubs allegiance to the monarch got to do with it Tjrfc ya clown, shameful reply.

46.) 11 Sep 2022
11 Sep 2022 12:18:59
Well said Cooper I 100% agree with you.

47.) 11 Sep 2022
11 Sep 2022 14:47:21
Because not everyone that follows rangers or plays for rangers is a member of the church of Scotland/ England. Be Frank. The 15+ posts etc have been a bit much. Pushing for uefa to change the game midweek, shafting fans on the away leg is absolutely ridiculous. All games this weekend shouldve been played. Shameful reply, get a grip of yourself man. Unlike you, I've met the King and I'm not even a member of his religion. His mother expressed her wish for no disruption to everyday life upon her death. Why should the FAs disrespect their queen?

48.) 11 Sep 2022
11 Sep 2022 15:29:17
Tjrfc, lmao” I’ve met the king “haha you really are a clown, show me where the queen saud just get on with everything? And I can easily show you the rest of her family treating her with the utmost respect and dignity as it’s on the TV! Dry your eyes son and go back in the cave you came out from with comment, how do you know who I’ve met? Keep digging yourself a bigger hole ya fool, at least yer giving us a laugh.

49.) 13 Sep 2022
13 Sep 2022 20:35:22
I for one was pleased to see all Football in the UK postponed this past weekend as a mark of respect to the late Queen. I appreciate that not everyone will share my views however I just believe that it was the 'right thing to do'.
This for me has nothing to do with religion, showing respect for a Monarch who has been there for most if not all of our lives, is just Human Decency.
I have no problem with people that do not share the same views of the Monarchy as myself but I believe in the current circumstances they should simply keep quiet. They gain no respect what so ever with their anti-Royalist comments.
