Heard earlier regarding Goldsons contract, He's been offered a 4 year deal with a release clause, not sure what the problem is but Goldson meant to be trying to be only willing to sign with no Clause or vice versa, not sure but that's what I've been told.

What type Of clause? Regarding his heart? Can’t be that he’s fit as a fiddle? Must be a valuation? Say £15m or something? Do I know what type of clause?

Could very well be the heart condition that is involved in contract dealings, he’s very fit but still has a condition, let’s hope he is managed and his ticker is good,
Anything can be asked for or demanded in contract talks, it’s all legal matters,
A mine field sometimes.

I can't see there being a clause regarding his heart. I'm no employment expert but that sounds illegal.

Can't see his heart being an issue considering he's played EVERY minute of EVERY game this season.

Mike get totally agree. He has played three years every minute this season. He had a heart issywhich was fixed.
I’m being told he wants a clause off 8 million where he can talk to epl teams.

The contract is a legally binding document so health clauses for a pre-existing health condition is more than likely par for the course. I don't know, but from my days as a recruiting manager, non-disclosure of a health condition which caused long absences after appointment COULD (but in 99.9% of cases wouldn't) lead to possible disciplinary action or worse. Goldson has played every minute of every league game this season, so I am guessing his health issue isn't drastic at the moment. If the clause relates to that, it's highly likely that it will have been added at the request of our insurers and/ or legal team.

Meaning the size of the clause and length of contract not sure what the problem is one or the other.

Nobody said there was a clause, but there definitely will be included any underlying health issues, thought that is obvious spud, it’s a legal issue in every major, even minor foo Contract dealings and negotiations

No matter how many MINUTES IN EVERY GAME he has played

I would stake my house on his health going forward will be part of his negotiations t, even at any new club he goes too, aasa hartford spring to mind, and a few I knew in my time had health issues always a part of they’re employment deals.

Mike it’s exactly the opposite of being illegal mate
Probably all management executives on high earning will have a health screening attached to their offer of employment, in football it’s always an issue to be discussed, that’s why people fail medical, it’s a legal requirement for most to provide evidence of a clean bill of he before signing off on a large financial contract.

He’s worth more than £8m. I’m sorry but if he wants us to let him go on the cheap after everything we have done for him and his career then he can leave now. Sell him to the highest bidder as I think he’s worth £15m easy. Talk of ajer being worth £15m n he couldn’t lace goldsons a boots.
No way £8m.

IGWT - he's currently going to enter the last year of his contract.
There's no chance we will get £15 million.

Agreed , he won't go fir 15.

Fair play me potato I agree with that on reflection. It’s a bed one to decide isn’t it? Perhaps agreeing to £10m would be fair?
Who are we though. So far dk good
And I have trust in Roos Wilson and the rest of the hierarchy to resolve it in the best interest of the club.
He’s a £15-20m cab though that’s a fact.

I've always maintained that big connor goldson is the best centre half at ibrox, but if he's sold it will be nowhere near £15million🤔I reckon no more than between £8million-£10million🤔.
