What's the consensus about Shankland and would he do a job?
In my opinion he's a natural finisher and something we lack, I think he'd score a load of goals with the chances he'd get. Worth a punt at a reasonable price to push on in the domestic front ??.

At £2m I’d take him. I suspect the usual Ibrox tax will be applied though and he’ll be overpriced. Him and Miovski or a similar type from a foreign league would be great to replace Dessers and Roofe. Bring Lovelace in gradually once he returns and get him game time. With Danilo, that’s a decent front line group.

Id personally prefer the Aberdeen striker out of the two of them but would be happy if we did sign one of them. And i think we should sign one if them.

Firstly welcome Hammer86?On shankland who i do rate as a natural goalscorer, surely it would make more sense all round to sign aberdeen striker miovski who's 4 years younger than shankland and wouldn't cost as much to buy and who's also a natural finisher mate ?.

This one has indeed been heavily debated on here. Some agree with your assessment, and some say not good enough.
Personally, for the right money, I would take a punt on him.

Problem is Hammer86 Hearts won't sell him to us fir a reasonable price.

It's difficult to say Hammer. Playing for Hearts is different than playing for rangers where you come up against packed defences every week. He might score goals, he might not, every transfer is a risk.
My concern is that we have other positions that need replacing come the summer and unless we are going to magic up some funds from somewhere we will need to be clever with where we spend money.

Yes he would do a job probably but not for the sort of cash hearts may be looking for.
Yesterday we created next to nothing for Danillo so it wouldn't have mattered who we had up front, they would have struggled.

Welcome hammer86. This question has been done to death. There is no reasonable price for Shankland. We missed the boat on him like others not deemed good enough. He'd score goals but he's upper age group and expensive. We don't have money to burn.

I think it's too late now for the boy as Hearts will hold us to ransom if we approach them for him. Miovski is a no from me as it would kill me to think of us giving the sheep anything, especially the 4m price that seems to be doing the rounds. I really think of myself as a fair and rational person who is polite to everybody, however I hate Aberdeen with a passion and nothing would give me greater pleasure than seeing them get relegated.

Shankland or Miovski is a must this January! it could be the thing that turns it around and wins us the league.
I still don't really rate Danilo, especially for his finishing so far, misses a lot of chances that i feel Shankland or Miovski would have finished
Dessers is terrible. Lammers is useless. Roofe likely won't play any role for us again.

With all that’s been said about Tav, I think it’s worth remembering the guy has risen with Rangers from the bottom to the top. He’s not only turned into a leader, both on and off the park in my opinion, but has added things to his game as time has passed. Yes, his defending may be questioned at times but what defender isn’t questioned? The difference with Tav is that he wins game every other week, he will be missed and for me he’s up there, particularly for leading us back to the top from the dark days ??.

In my opinion, Butland is a class act and a leader at the same time. If bids do come in (buy out clause tbc) I think they should pull out all the stops to keep him. He could easily be our No.1 for the next 5 years+.
