Chesney must be puffing bangers. after that game on sat he said second half was the best Scotland had played in a while! Wtf then he says Chris Martin was magnificent? Clearly watched a different game to what I seen. also how can you go into a home game against that mob with one striker up top. reeks of negativity imo.

Don't think it's the one up top that's the problem most teams play that at international level it's the one they played up top that was the problem, I'd fancy Clint hill to outrun Chris Martin lol totally agree your point about his interview he's lost the plot has chezzer.

2.) 10 Oct 2016 20:38:46
Yeah but to play one up front the other 10 have to be pretty dam decent for that to be effective and let's face it we are far from being a decent team. scotland and are best when they are pressing high up the park and playing at a quick tempo. i would agree that one up top is prob the way to go against the better nations but Lithuania at home. come on tae.

3.) 10 Oct 2016 22:00:28
Time for change if we don't qualify for the world cup, imo the next scotland manager and outstanding candidate out there is billy davies.

4.) 10 Oct 2016 23:35:59
Would be fine with Davies but Strachan has been told the jobs his if he still wants it, f**king unbelievable! Still think that Alex Neil should be considered when the time comes as its going to be well difficult to qualify best we can hope for is 2nd and then we've got a play-off game and knowing our luck we'll get a top top team that should've qualified automatically. So if the s. f. a ain't giving it to Strach then who? What other Scottish Manager is out there? Don't all jump when I mention Neil would just like to see someone a bit younger have a go.

5.) 10 Oct 2016 23:36:48
Supercoop its changed days, i think of it this way, i remember scotland qualifying for 6 world cups in a row, and that doesn't seem that long time ago. i am getting on in life, and I've heard it said time flies bye as you get older, never a truer saying, lol.

6.) 11 Oct 2016 11:03:16
You and me both bigjoh85.

7.) 11 Oct 2016 13:37:10
strachans tactics aswell as team selection are a joke and make us look to be even worse than we are.
we need players like McKay naisy that wee thumb forrest playing and the midfield is shocking looked as if Lithuania had susperstars running their midfield compared to us . don't see why halliday and that can't get a shout.
but same old Strachan anyone says its red he says blue because he has to be different.
I for one like Darren fletcher but since3 he came bacvk from that illness he hasn't had it and shouldn't be playing anymore.

8.) 11 Oct 2016 13:57:50
Aye the hobbit has lost the plot. You can put money on him finally bringing in a few of the lads we have been shouting for, McCormack, Rhodes, even Holt and then giving us a glimmer of hope this campaign. But as per we'll blow it. Then it'll be: ah nearly, almost. What if?

I'd even put money on the hobbit taking full credit for bringing in McCormack etc and when they start banging them in, he'll insist it was his idea all along. Such is his arrogance.

9.) 11 Oct 2016 15:09:51
My problem with strachan is the amount of times he's contradicted himself. He said he didn't pick lee Wallace cause he was playing in 1st div then he picked John maginn who was playing in same div. he also said Jordan Rhodes wasn't playing enough for his club but he plays Hutton who wasn't playing at all for his club.

10.) 11 Oct 2016 16:11:46
Bigjoh85,

I don't think Scotland did qualify for 6 world cups in a row. Was it not 6 out of 7 from 1974-1998? Missing out of 1994.

11.) 12 Oct 2016 13:20:13
Biffo 361 your right enough mate, it was only 5 times in a row, my mistake, old age doesn't come alone, lol.

Ohalloran has to get a run of games in the side along with dodoo and garner through the middle. moh has great pace and would be an outlet when under pressure.

Having an outlet when under pressure isn't a problem for us, our problem is we aren't moving the ball quick enough and aren't clinical in the final 3rd we tend to dominate without putting games to bed! Ohalleran for me isn't the answer, would like dodoo to get a run tho.

2.) 10 Oct 2016 18:45:33
Putting games to bed is the only real problem.

Think Garner will only be effective if he gets a winger who doesn't cut in and shoot for themselves like McKay and Waghorn.

Tavernier plays in defence and seems to be the only player willing to swing a cross into the box.

3.) 10 Oct 2016 19:43:53
We have no pace in the wide areas at all apart from McKay who insists on cutting back after beating his man. moh is prob the quickest player in our squad and if we got the ball moved quicker rite through the team I think you would see the benefit of him playing. i think you always need pace in a side regardless of which way the team plays.

4.) 10 Oct 2016 23:49:10
Mckay has to cut in! He's right footed and has no other option we NEED a left footer desperately! Warbs must bring in a couple of leftys and raid the top 4-5 teams down South, they have an abundance of talent valued in the millions Roberts at that mob for example. Feel for Mckay in that regard but Forrester and O'halloran would be doing the same, we were looking at Winks at Spurs and a lad at Liverpool both wingers and I think left footers. Anyways not sayin that bang answer to our problem, I think that we WILL get our rubbish together AND give them a game in the semi I just think a left winger is needed. Thoughts?

5.) 10 Oct 2016 23:56:46
I think you better tell the manager.

Moh hasn't exactly taken his chances that he has been given.

Running is one thing but if you can't pass, cross or shoot at the end of it then it means nothing.

I'd love him to come good, and we could do with it, but I think it's been a mistake to sign him- like I said ar the time.

6.) 11 Oct 2016 13:53:43
for me MOH is a good addition and could play well in games like the selik one and Aberdeen and teams who try play football against us but when they sit back and try to counter it makes him as usefull as sebo.

now that we have players in the middle like windass halliday holt rossiter i'd like to play those 4 and maybe McKay just behind the main striker wether that be garner or waggy. have rossiter and halliday shoring things up with windass and forrester playing l/ m and r/ m.

His comments are a joke. how do I send these players back to there clubs and feel good about themselves. wtf. after stealing a draw against Lithuania the being humoed against a bang ordinary Slovak side with just one good player then naw Chesney you this mob won't go back feeling good but hey ho does it really matter. we're Scotland and this is how it's meant to be these days isn't it.
