I get the Doig move as another home based player would come in and ineligible one out ( long term ease) only way Doig is coming in is if Ridvan leaves. Borna needs to stay until the end of the season, can’t lose two lbs and bring in two in Jan.

Tom had said perhaps Verona play a diff type of football and he’s not swinging crosses in, but I’d expect more numbers from my fullback.
For me barasic is better than ridvan atm.
I’d be happy to do a 6 month loan swap with Doig and ridvan and re assess in summer.
Preferably for me barasic gets a years extension we sell ridvan for €5m and sign a 1st choice left back for next season.
Who that is I do not know.

Don't know how realistic a straight swap between Ridvan and Doig would be, but despite his recent form I think it would work out well for us. I liked Doig when he was playing here, and I think he's the kind of player we should have been snapping up. He's good, young, and helps with the euro squad which is currently understocked. Call me old fashioned, but I also think his height is an asset we need in our back four.
As it stands, I'd keep Borna as I don't think he has much sell on value, and in the circumstances where we can only make 3 changes to the euro squad in January I don't think we should use two of those changes on left backs.

When Doig was at Hibs I wasn’t totally convinced by his technique. Since his move to Italy I’ve seen some impressive clips with Verona. I’ve also watched him a fair few times playing for the u21s since moving to Italy and his technique has improved massively. Physically he’s been impressive with lots of power and pace. Would be a good signing.

I feel bb is better than ridvan storm.
Ridvan has a lot to prove before he can be judged better than bb.
If we stick with those 2 until summer and ridvan has nailed down the shirt and doing a proper great job then I will change my opinion.
I base my opinion on players over long periods not just a few games.
Hopefully ridvan keeps up his good performances and we have a player on our hands.
If that was the case then we could still keep bb for another year as back up and save spending money on a position we may not need to.

Barisic has served his time and will be out of contract in the summer it’s time to freshen things up with a more dynamic type of player Doig definitely fits the bill if Clement wants him he will make sure he gets him if that means using Barisic or Ridvan in getting what he wants, if there’s money to spend then go for it other LB Kai Wagner could be more affordable tho and would be happy with either be interesting to see who’s leaving this window Barisic or Yilmaz.
There will be offers for Davies from the championship which would free up space for a LCB.

Just putting 2 and 2 together here as I've got no inside info as such. Beale has been posting videos on his insta story from a hotel in Turkey the Cullinan Belek. Looks like a family holiday but the hotel is in Antalya and Haji Wright plays for Antalyaspor. Could he be doing some business over there while on holiday?

There was a report earlier that Antalyaspor were signing a replacement for Hagi-Wright. Still, the price tag on him makes it hard to believe he’s end up in Glasgow. That club want about £10m for him. He'd be the second most expensive singing in the clubs history if it’s anything near that.

we are in dire need of a talented RW since Candieas left we have tried around 5/ 6 players there and none have matched his level.
So i'm tipping Beale's in Roma working on a deal to finalise either a loan deal to buy or better a 4 yr contract for Solbakken, which should worry Celtic as he ended there european triple fail (1st club in history to get knocked out of all 3 euro comps in one season, at the first stage of each competition / not to mention they have never won a 2 legged tie in europe in over 20 yrs lmfao only reason they got there champs league spot was from our success in pushing up the co-efficient from our last 4 campaigns, so Angela and his tatty pickers can stick that in there pipes and smoke it)

Massive improvement. Lots of running off the ball. Players pressing high to win the ball back quickly then moving it forward right away instead of passing side to side hoping space will open up. Making the space ourselves by making runs and being a bit more direct.

The gaffer saw fit to start Borna today and got the other players performing. He only played 10 mins before his injury so I wouldn't slate him, if he'd been on the rest of the game there's every chance we'd have seen a massive improvement from him too.
