A lot of chat about Todd Cantwell and his 'petulance'. Have a look at his twitter post showing the livi player kick out at him first. He is fast becoming what Morelos was once upon a time and being targetted every game to wind him up and put the boot in. Needs to be more savvy i agree but no wonder good players get fed up playing in our league.

Seen that and agree with you. But he still gets needless yellows and is almost a banker at the bookies to pick up a yellow in a game.

can't blame the press fir a players stupidity. if you dive or get involved in nonsense you may get caught, thems the breaks.

Cantwell although being targeted to try and getting him booked or worse need to rise above it, or he will find himself out of picture at ibrox as PC will not tolerate him, already been warned about this.

Dado - Agreed re attention on him but good players always got targeted - Jinky J, W Henderson, Gazza, Coops et all - not everyone responds with a kick out or a shove- he should take the attention as a badge of honour and when he he scores or assists that should be enough to fuel his fire - not potentially missing crucial games for us when we need ALL our star players on the pitch- PC will sort this I hope?.

Yeah the best way to get them back is to punish them with a goal instead of biting . He needs to calm down or he will become a liability.

Morning BigDado, I was one who criticised Tod for his petulance, but, I freely admit that he had good reason to be upset by Penrice's actions, I still think PC will have a quiet word to cool him down a bit, but, sometimes a player is not as effective if they don't have that fire in the belly, so Tod keep playing away Son, and just temper things a wee bit, and hopefully the Referees will take action if he is being targeted.

BlueFloyd 2, bad choice of comparison mate, Gazza used to react all the time to getting fouled and was sent off once or twice for senseless acts of stupidity. Some great players have that in them and although Todd is nowhere near Gazzas level, he also is nowhere near his level of yellows and reds. I couldn`t understand why he reacted but seeing the pictures now, I do, all players are human and a lot of people would have reacted to studs on the shin. I`ve seen players sent off for less.

I think refs in this country are stupid. It's like gattuso all over again.

Gattuso could charge from one side of the pitch to another and make a clean tackle but still get booked from ref simply for the speed and velocity he went in rather than if it was a clean tackle or not.


And it's the same with cantwell when you get refs that have never played the game this happens they don't want players charging about makes life more difficult for them.

Said this re Morelos some players like playing on the edge and Fired up I know Alfie missed some games due to this BUT was always at his best when he was in a scrap, Let Todd be Todd never thought Morelos was the same when he was told to Mellow out.

godor, its a safety thing, charging from one side if the pitch to the other and flying into a tackle can bring horrific consequences, clean tackle or not, uts incredibly dangerous,

Id rather Todd stayed as he is. He will draw far more fouls, pens and red cards than he will give away. We need more players with his drive and passion. But i'm sure he's been told how to channel it.
