Ive never felt more embarrassed to be a rangers fan than i am just now.

The next time we all laugh at the other shower for losing the plot, think back to this period in our history.

Telling our players to F off, vilifying Roofe for showing a video of his goal (maybe his point was to say it was a joke of a decision) .

Some fans are unravelling. For god sake, its a game of football. As we've seen on here, real life is happening out there. Things that ARE life or death.

Im not having a go at posters on here. I think the negativity here is OTT but I'd rather it happen here than vitriol at the ground.

We all care about the club but a sense of balance and perpective needed.

Thought it was a pic of the goal roofe put up and it was ridiculous and stupid thing to do especially when he new how the fans felt. You really need to be a special kind of stupid to think that would go down well.

Good post athole. Our fans (loud opinionated minority) are an embarrassment and imo bordering on delusional.

Hopefully when we emerge from the international break there will be some signs of progress - a lot of the frustration I've seen is born from the fact that we don't seem to be improving in terms of shape, style, intensity, quality or even desire.

He put it up as a way of saying it was a goal that's what I took of it.

Roofe put a picture of himself shooting the ball on his personal Instagram page. VAR already took the moment away from the guy after a year of injury recovery. Why the fans feel the need to take this moment away from him, and abuse him to the point he needs to delete posts, is beyond me.

I think he posted because he that was a goal. He knows the decision was a joke. He can’t come out and say it because the SFA would hit him with a fine. It was an understanding dig at the incompetent officials. A clever one at that if you ask me.

Obviously not at Ibrox during the Joh greig era then if you think 50,000 fans booing the team was bad however the performance on Sunday was abysmal. i'm hoping Michael can turn it around but once you lose your home support it's difficult to turn it around .

A bit harsh maybe he was just saying should have stood.

Still don't get why Beale takes him off

Rapidly losing faith in Beale his lineups and subs questionable.

Athole, why would you be embarrassed, I'm not, the fans you talk about are the ones that should be embarrassed.

The fans all 50 thousand plus turned up to witness an aggressive all action Rangers performance against our biggest rivals that were in poor form with a makeshift back line . What they witnessed was an affront, no tactics no style no aggression totally clueless from the manager, for us to let this golden opportunity slip through our fingers was just too much to take for plenty.

Absolutely agree sima, it was a shocking performance and display of tactics, but, are thousands of fans shouting abuse at you and telling you to F Off more likely or less likely to make you play better next time?

Is that abuse in the ground and online more likely or less likely to make those better players we need to sign come to Scotland?

This isn't a new thing. i remember the "fans" singing "ally ally get tae F" in the 80s.

Some fans sense of entitlement and how they vocalise their discontent is unbelievable.

On the flip side, when the whole stadium stands in defiance and sings in support of the team, how much of a boost would that give you as a young guy in your 20s, in a new country, learning a new language.

I know what environment i'd rather work in!
