Bielsa to Rangers what has he ever won? Buy if you want attacking football he's your man but liable to walk away if he doesn't get what he wants a loose cannon not for me and we have got a manager remember b.

1.) 07 Sep 2023 22:15:25
He’s the manager of Uruguay I’m sure.

2.) 07 Sep 2023 22:50:11
Would be better than all the managers previously mentioned bags of experience in better leagues than ours.

3.) 08 Sep 2023 04:28:20
Can't see Bielsa coming to rangers who have no funds to offer, and a team that are essentially the dregs of Gerrards cup winning team, along with Gio's flops and Beale's mess, when he just signed on as the Uruaguay coach a few months ago until 2026, let's see . dessers and lammers or, Cavani and Suarez.

not many coaches worth there salt will come anywhere near ibrox with no funds and relatively little chance to build a decent squad before getting the chop mid rebuild.
This all started when the previousboard drove Gerrard out after the unbeaten season, for asking for more money to build a squad capable of going further in europe, since then apart from the europa final, we have been in a gradual downward spiral, it ain't ending anytime soon either.

4.) 08 Sep 2023 08:14:16
Bielsa inspired many of the world's best including Pep. He rebuilt Leeds, off the pitch as well as on it. Would have been a dream to appoint him when he was available but we went for Beale. No chance now he is back in South America.

5.) 08 Sep 2023 08:34:46
I know and realise this is a rumours site, but this really should be on Rangers Made Up bull rather than here. Who came up with this utter nonsense?

6.) 08 Sep 2023 09:16:33
Apart from when gio won the same amount a silverware in one season that sg did in 3.

7.) 08 Sep 2023 09:43:05
Beales problems is it looks like he's trying to play at times 3-4-1-2 / -5-3-2 and the midfield doesn't have Balance in it we need 2 Wingers Matondo on his own he's going to be targeted due to his pace.

8.) 08 Sep 2023 09:42:40
He won the championship did he not?

9.) 08 Sep 2023 10:15:05
Why are people saying Beale has no funds? He spent his budget and sold players that raised almost the same amount while trimming squad by 14 leaving and 9 coming in.
I’d imagine we have broken even or thereabouts.
Board wasn’t going to give Beale every available penny to spend he got a budget and spent what he thought he needed, I guarantee you if he’s still here on merit at next transfer window he will be able to bring 1 or 2 new players in as will any other manager.

10.) 08 Sep 2023 10:53:48
Beale wanted a CB a in the summer but couldn’t get one. He wanted Trusty but the funds weren’t a available or we were priced out. There is no question we need better than what we have, and the manager tried to reinforce that area. He could just buy someone else but he’s waiting for the right player to come along.

I think Jake Cooper is another who maybe strung us a long a bit. As much as we or other clubs might want him he loves Millwall too much. He’ll finish his career there.

11.) 08 Sep 2023 11:11:16
Can’t see Cooper ever leaving Millwall, and every transfer window we are linked with him according to the media.

12.) 08 Sep 2023 12:05:20
Downward spiral since Murray sat his arse on the chair and his crooked pal serial club wrecker Joe Lewis was involved, he's at Spurs now awaiting criminal proceedings in USA .

Dodgier people than Saudi's . aye loads of them .

13.) 08 Sep 2023 14:07:20
Bielsa gets paid 4 million dollars a year 3.2 million sterling

Plus 4 million dollar bonus if he gets them to World Cup.
He’s not coming imo.

14.) 08 Sep 2023 15:49:44
I will be surprised if Biers is at Rangers anytime soon however let's not be pessimistic in terms of who we might secure as manager should Beale fail to turn things round. Speaking with a couple of well respected pundits down in the South East of England, their view is that there are a significant number of Managers, English based and European that would gladly take on the rangers job if asked.
They also believed that if the Beale experiment failed that we would go for a manager with a pedigree.
There is also a view, although I have been hearing the same rumour for too long now! That we are likely t6o see significant changes in the next 12 months, principally in our Marketing and Investment Strategy.
If these rumours are accurate then we could certainly offer any new manager the investment that we need in the playing staff although I have to say that Beale had a decent transfer budget since he was appointed.

15.) 08 Sep 2023 16:12:53
Bielsa's translator was on good money too, I think he had a couple of them . Absolute tripe that he could be Rangers gaffer, some people don't even check it out just pluck names from mad dreams, possibly too many cheesey puffs in the evening and wotsits that give them orange baws as well.

16.) 08 Sep 2023 16:32:24
Berkshire how do we get around new iteration of ffp.

17.) 09 Sep 2023 13:34:28
As much as I would like bielsa murderhill is bang on.

My only real hope for Beales eventual replacement is that we go for an experienced manager instead of the rookie's we've had since mccoist.

17 Sep 2022 19:24:07
Anyone who believes on the board that all our younger players at Ibrox are going to be first team regulars are having a laugh, you will be lucky to get 3 who will cement their positions in our squad, but I'm in favour of playing them in place of imposters at the club and we all know who they are, what is needed is a massive clear out and massive investment with the manager having the final say, the players have downed tools following last year's exploits, the problem as I see it is no investment and therefore going with youth , sorry but it won't work.

Murder hill

1.) 17 Sep 2022 21:43:04
Murder- it's very frustrating watching this team play ( it actually looks more like Gerrards team ) . It's a disgrace- those players are getting paid a lot of money and we all know they can play a lot lot better. So if you no longer wish to play for the famous then do us all a favour and inform the manager and give your position to a youngster who will give their all. Players who wish to move on to bigger and better things may live to regret it as the grass is not always greener.

2.) 17 Sep 2022 21:49:51
Must unfortunately agree about the young guns.
I feel we are setting them for loans, ajd they don't come back or transfer to other clubs hopefully to England, for small add ons somewhere along the line.
Not impressed sorry!

3.) 17 Sep 2022 22:33:33
Think most clubs would be happy with 2 or 3 youngster making it every year or two. Strange to criticise this after we have given them a chance today.

4.) 18 Sep 2022 00:38:11
Was thinking the same it’s kinda obvious that king lowry and mccan are all gets moved towards the first team.

5.) 18 Sep 2022 01:08:57
Murder, investment? If you mean people putting in money to buy players then it can't happen.
We are on a UEFA watchlist . If we spend more than we earn we will be fined up to 10 million quid.

6.) 18 Sep 2022 08:31:05
We won yesterday against a team on a revival that could have been a banana skin. If the youth are better than what we have then play them. To me king lowry and mccann are good enough.

7.) 18 Sep 2022 08:57:27
I thought the 2 young lads did very well and I know Lowry is definitely good enough and hope he is fit very soon. I was also heartened by the performance of Ryan Jack. He looked very close to his old self in that first half. Really hope his injury woes are behind him and he can kick om. We started very well and should have been 2 up before Colak's first goal (2 great finishes, very Boyd like btw) . Then we huffed and puffed a bit though tbh getting the win was the main thing before the break. At least we've broken that horrible run of games. We move on.

8.) 18 Sep 2022 10:47:24
It reminds me a lot of Gerrard's team and style of play baxterboy, slow side to side tippy tappy trying to walk it in. Its very unlike Gio who's play and tempo is normally fast direct and fluid. Something is far wrong and it looks like the players can't be bothered.

9.) 18 Sep 2022 11:20:17
McCann had 4 opportunities in the box and never got a single shot off! How was this doing well? Fair enough King held his own. Midfield were terrible yesterday at closing down runners. Utd goal came from lazy Kent. We lack bite and sharpness again.

10.) 18 Sep 2022 14:11:19
It is early days for some of these young players and even yesterday that was McCann's full 90 minutes for a youngster in a competitive first team game. I would like to think that a few more will make the breakthrough but for young players to be successful they need to be playing alongside quality players that they can learn from and they need to be introduced slowly, (l I saw today with Arsenal when they brought a 15 year old on) . Unfortunately, as a result of poor inbound transfers over the past two+ seasons we simply do not have that quality of squad!
My other concern is that if any of these young lads show any quality, (as young Bassey and Patterson did, they will be sold as quickly as possible) .
We need change at the very top and a Chairman and Board that have ambition. Our ambition seemed to stop when we stopped them from getting 10 in a row.

11.) 18 Sep 2022 14:14:38
Berkshire and who do you get to buy out the board, really interested.

12.) 18 Sep 2022 15:33:00
I think the board made the correct decision selling Patterson and Bassey, it would have been mad turning down the money offered by Everton and Ajax.

13.) 18 Sep 2022 15:39:57
McCann is a young guy so he probably had nerves when in front of goal give the lad a chance man. 1st full game and he's getting a hard time. Get a grip.

14.) 18 Sep 2022 15:49:44
BB what ambition do you want us to show? We are on a watch list for FFP? As John asked who is wanting to buy rangers? There is no money in Scottish football.

15.) 18 Sep 2022 17:27:27
Southend rangers, I totally agree with you re mcann. His full debut, at least he was getting in those positions, whether he got a shot away or not. Our other midfielders have been pretty shot shy the last couple of years. They all need to get at it, not just a young lad!

16.) 18 Sep 2022 17:55:51
Seeker, Jack played reasonably well for an hour.
Can he do that every week, even against poor opposition like yesterdays was!

17.) 18 Sep 2022 19:56:18
John26 was it you that said parks has the club up for sale?
is that true?

18.) 18 Sep 2022 21:04:21
Definitely not me, park can’t sell club he owns 12%.

19.) 18 Sep 2022 22:53:25
John 26, I reckon that if the Club can remove one or two Directors, (not easy since one is the chairman), then there would be a real opportunity for more investment.

20.) 18 Sep 2022 23:46:43
Our best performance this season has been without Kent ? I think he is more of a problem than most realise. Even when he was playing terrible and late in game Kent stayed on ? never seems to get subbed.

21.) 18 Sep 2022 23:52:36
Who knows Bar72? ?.

22.) 19 Sep 2022 09:58:00
Our youth system has only just been heavily invested in the last 4/ 3 years and we are starting to see potential players make the step up to the first team.

It's simple as we do not have the money to reinvest in a squad every year as much as people wish to believe we do.

Academy is the future of the club.

23.) 19 Sep 2022 18:02:35
Don’t agree bb, we seem to be confusing buying out shareholders with investment.

Buying out a shareholder money only goes to that individual.

More investment ie another share issue only attracts issues surrounding Ffp.

100% correct Callum re academy has to be our future

Remember most football boards are self serving. Vote for each other at every agm, when king voted against Graeme Park the other 85% voted he stay.
Every other board member received 95% vote.

Central defence needs replacing next season always make mistakes both bullied by a big lump on Saturday 2 errors tonight so far dreadful defending.

Murder hill

1.) 07 Mar 2024 22:08:01
John souttar very unlucky. Pretty sure if the ball hits another body part before striking an arm it shouldn't be a penalty. It came off his head onto his arm. Does anybody know what constitutes a penalty anymore. The officials certainly don't seem to know.

2.) 07 Mar 2024 22:09:24
Are you serious? Jeezo ?.

3.) 07 Mar 2024 23:19:21
Jfm see TJBB56, likes a dabble in the IFAB rules, Seeker pants just pants, watch it again arms extended due to his elbow on guys head as he moves into the challenge, it naturally extends, wtf is supposed to do, not challenge, I agree Jfm.

4.) 08 Mar 2024 01:08:52
Fork I was replying to murderhill. I agree with you and jfm ?.

5.) 08 Mar 2024 06:14:11
Not a worry bud, it's nuts in here, comment on a great result in every post since last night, but assess the team and say your thoughts, to some on here you can't criticise what you witness, because they don't like an opinion, think he's correct tbf Seeker, anyway how's your eyebrow??.

6.) 08 Mar 2024 06:28:08
No probs seeker?.

7.) 08 Mar 2024 09:10:18
Fork, I guess that I am one of the ones you are crying about?

Of course you are allowed an opinion and if you choose to pick out the negative after an excellent result that is up to you.

Flip side is that we don't have to agree with your opinion or criticism (or timing of the criticism) and in a public forum we reserve the right to question, disagree with and criticise your posts just like you can do to mine.

Comments like blue goggles because we don't need or want to point out any negativity.

8.) 08 Mar 2024 11:29:26
Still got 2 for the moment, fork, though a couple of hail hails could change that! ??.

9.) 08 Mar 2024 16:30:17
Lol seeker I'm still giggling at that?.

10.) 08 Mar 2024 16:42:29
Not negative, read the posts, everyone commends a great result, oh at not crying about anything or one, pointed out that in my opinion, and judging by the standards that goldson and tav set themselves, they will be disappointed, my opinion is they are on the slide, and I'm not the only one saying so, been discussed for weeks on here.

Your cherry picking points to be critical, read my posts back from full time last night. Not pointing out negativity gives rise to a false picture of the team, hence seeing our team thru blue goggles as you put it. Of which you are one. I may point out things but it's fair and not just for brownie points.

12 Jan 2024 09:31:41
Think we will get a couple of players in on loan near the end of the window, the reason could be that they think they have enough in their squad to be champions and don't get anyone in, we know they have money in the bank yet don't spend it, possible reason they won't break their wage structure?

Murder hill

1.) 12 Jan 2024 10:21:26
Think they will sign a couple Murder, the window lasts for a month, most signings happen near the end.

2.) 12 Jan 2024 10:48:18
Murder I don't think there's enough in thst squad need a proven goal scorer an attacking mid and winger maybe even a left sided CH.

3.) 12 Jan 2024 10:58:31
Guys - They do the right things as players go - hungry talent not overinflated egos who demand top dollar and for years like mugs we have paid out for donkeys - they get things wrong on occasion but a bigger percentage of their buys go on and make them big cash which more than balances the duds - unlike us who buy duds or pension seekers and then can't give them away - Hopefully PC studies our history of buying and starts the change happening soon and also gets some players in the door too! The right hungry team players.

Big Sam interested no pissing about at the back, he was ahead of his time and don't call him a dinosaur, if we don't get who we want. Would take him till the end. Of the season.

Murder hill

1.) 03 Oct 2023 19:04:18
He’s a dinosaur.

2.) 03 Oct 2023 19:17:50
100 per cent record as England manager made Bolton one of the most attractive sides in England, takes no crap from anybody press orlike previous managers and plays Attacking football no scared to tell players how it is .

3.) 03 Oct 2023 19:18:11
Liverpool lol. Good old VAR.

4.) 03 Oct 2023 19:26:02
"Big Sam"? Big crooked, chancer more like it. Not a chance!

5.) 03 Oct 2023 19:53:25
I’d take big Sam, tbh I think he’s a better bet than any I’ve heard so far.
What were u saying there murder hill?
U saying he’s said he’s interested or that u want him?

6.) 03 Oct 2023 19:58:29
"100% record as England manager"? Now I know you're taking the urine. In charge for one game only, a 1-0 victory over Slovakia, and you're using that to back up your post? Please stop! ????.

7.) 03 Oct 2023 20:15:21
I would take big Sam in a minute I was taking the piss with the England one however statistics are statistics he. Would organise our team and play with width and attacking football Sam as said it would be an honour to be asked to be our manager . As for being crooked it was a set up by a newspaper and he was trying to help a former colleague who shafted him .

{Ed001's Note - oh don't talk crap. Sam Allardyce has been caught taking bungs and forcing players to use his son as an agent on multiple occasions. He was not set up or shafted, just like he never sued to clear his name because he is guilty. And remember that money he was stealing was money that the fans pumped into the clubs he worked for. Every single penny that went into that scumbag's thieving pockets was taken from the transfer budget of the club. Haven't you already got enough problems competing financially with Celtic without someone dipping their hand in the till, despite being paid millions to do his job already?}

8.) 03 Oct 2023 20:26:34
? ? ? I couldn't have put it any better myself Ed001! So eloquently put as usual!
Please stop with the "Big Sam" rubbish, if the Ed's post doesn't put you straight, then nothing will.

{Ed001's Note - I just can't believe anyone would want him. He steals money that hard working fans put into clubs. He can pretend it is TV money etc, but at the end of the day, TV companies wouldn't pay for the footie if fans weren't paying subscriptions to watch it.}

9.) 03 Oct 2023 20:36:08
C'mon mate, how long have you been Ed on this forum, so nothing should surprise you with some of us on here! ??
No, on a serious note, he should have been banned for life from football, and shunned by everyone. He's a crook, and the worst type of crook, who steals from the normal, working class punter who pay their money into the clubs they love. For God's sake, you would think we would have had our fill of this type of spiv, but obviously not. I really do despair!

{Ed001's Note - I know, I am ashamed of Sammy Lee working with him. He should know better but obviously he is only interested in money too. Sad.}

10.) 03 Oct 2023 20:50:01
We seen a couple of our own sell their soul for a big salary, or cheap shares, during the Whyte and Green eras Ed, and that, just like Sammy with you, was very hard for the majority of us to take, and forgive.
There's never enough money for some, and they don't give a toss how they get it, or who the stamp on to get to it. Very sad!

{Ed001's Note - it really is a shame. Greed really is the main motivating factor for far too many people that already have more than enough money to start with.}

11.) 03 Oct 2023 21:06:50
Too true Ed001!

12.) 03 Oct 2023 21:10:15
I remember reading and hearing about this years ago
I totally forgot all about it to be honest
Reading this tonight makes me think I didn’t realise he was that bad
remember newspapers and his name and face over hem
Was there not some sting operation too?

don’t think I paid much attention to it back then don’t remember any court case or anything
Why is he still aloud to manage?

{Ed001's Note - he was also the main subject of the BBC documentary that caught him, Fergie and Redknapp in multiple instances of taking bungs and forcing players to work with their chosen agents. All three said they would sue the BBC, all three never did.}

13.) 03 Oct 2023 21:30:00
I see it with Liv golf Ed. The problem is, it’s all proportionate. How much is “already enough”? The problem with wealthy individuals is that it breeds greed. If they have £20m, they want £40m. If they have £1bn they want £2bn.
To most of us they all have more than enough, but if they chance to double what they have, they’ll take it.
The EPL is a prime example of players getting too much, you now have bang average players that can’t even get a game for their country earning hundreds of thousands per week and retiring having a life of a king. Fuelled by crazy SKY deals.

{Ed001's Note - it is crazy.}

03 Sep 2023 18:23:10
There is absolutely belittle chance Michael will I'll be sacked, we all wanted change we got change support the team support the manager, all those people who wanted Sakala gone is he worse than any player on the pitch today? Made goals scored goals . enough said .

Murder hill

1.) 03 Sep 2023 19:08:46
Murder Hill, I have supported Rangers for more than 60 years and with the exception of the years following our relegation to the lower leagues I have never seen a more inept manager than this guy is proving to be and Dessers is right down there with Sebo in terms of being useless.
Supporting rangers and giving time to incompetents is totally different. In Business if people don't perform then they are out on their hind quarters and I see no difference in football.
Beale talks too much and comments like those after the game today are an insult to the intelligence of the Rangers support. He got his team selection wrong and his tactics wrong and he was either too stubborn to change them or he didn't know how to. He should be a goner! This is only the start. there will be plenty more poor results and no doubt more embarrassing results and not just in Europe if this guy stays in charge of the team.

2.) 03 Sep 2023 19:23:07
We can’t afford to sack him. It could cost millions to remove him and his background team. Are Rangers really going to do that less than a year after the expense of removing GVB? Where does it leave all these new players if the manager gets canned a few weeks after they sign? We'd become a basket case of a club.

People are saying to replace him with McInnes. What’s to stop him knocking Rangers back again because he believes in his work at Kilmarnock? We'd be sent back years to the Murty era. This club needs stability at some point.

We must give Beale the season. Even if the players he signed are gash, I have confidence in him to turn them into an outfit that gets results. He CAN coach. Maybe he can coach better than he can recruit and that will take time to show though.

3.) 03 Sep 2023 19:51:12
Ur right Verdant he’s a good coach and they don’t make the best managers and best football decisions and that’s what we are seeing.

4.) 03 Sep 2023 20:02:39
We can’t afford not to sack him and he has showing not to say he can coach verdant.

5.) 03 Sep 2023 20:21:06
We can afford to sack him we still have all the transfer budget and the £10million ring fenced for Sands and Tillman to spend . All money spent so far was brought back in so it must all still be available.

30 Aug 2023 22:54:00
No doubt we will have the beake out mob on on here soon the cold facts are we are at the Europa League team at best . The level of player we have is not good enough for Champions League football, and you will see when the other get go into the group stages the same will happen. until there is massive investment in our club, we simply cannot compete and even at that top players are not interested in coming to Scotland . GVB got us to our level in Europa League final, Champions League football was an absolute embarrassment, t, stacking Michael won't change a thing simple as that.

SPL teams will target Yilmaz because of his lack of height, they already target BB because although taller he has no idea where players are behind him either high or low crosses, at least this year we have a keeper who will come for crosses into the box, if Sterling can play on the left side then in away SPL games I'd play him there .
