I don't agree with Davis getting a new contract who wants a 39 year old in a champions league match or europa league match.

I feel the same mate. Esp after such a bad injury. Reeks of desperation man, look at David silva, retired last week after having a bad injury in preseason.
Davis should not be getting any form of playing contract whatsoever.

Feels like it is on sentiment more than merit and he must be on a good 10- 12 grand which could be used on other areas of the squad similar to Ofoborh albeit not his fault with her heart but still.

I hope its just a coaching contract, he would be invaluable to the youngsters and the first team, with all his experience, but not playing surely?

Pundits are full of "give him a deal because he`s great in the dressing room " but they forget this would be taking a wage for someone who is unlikely to play . I love the guy but a playing contract should be out of the question, a coaching role definitely.
