Hypothetical question here guys but if we had a defence of Tav, Goldson, bassey and barisic, a front 3 of Kent, Morelos and a Aribo, with a midfield of say Jack, lundstrum and Tillman. Would we have been beaten in the same manner each game as we did? I think the answer is no, which then answers for me the question of why we’re far worse than we were, not replacing our best assets being sold and injuries.

Because everyone you mentioned would still be underperforming.
Not one player has covered himself in glory during this CL campaign.
I would excuse King due to his age.

After last years exploits - with a couple of unbelievable results - I still didn't think we get through to CL knockouts to be fair.
I had hoped that some good performances and maybe 1 good result at home, would give us a chance at EL in the final game of the group at home.
However we had apparently 9 or 10 possible first team players out for most of this campaign - and we have been shown up as very poor with what is a second string- team. Could we have done better with what we have - - very debatable.
We can only hope we get to the World Cup break in close contention in the league and get players back in time for the restart.

Yes we had Goldson and still got beat the Bassey one is completely irrelevant as he was sold.

Yes but maybe not pumped as much but as said previously, the work effort hasn't been there often enough and when we go 2 goals down early they get nervous and don't go forward to prevent a doing. which only encourages the opposition on even more.

Even if we had all the players available we still would have lost all the games because we don’t know how to defend, how many times has tav bin caught out, he ain’t got a clue how to defend but still gets picked every week. Goldson is our best defender but how many times has he been caught out. I think Davies will do well with a solid defender beside him and yilmaz looks good but the rest can go.

McGregor needs dropped Age has called caught up with him, Play MCcrorie or buy a keeper,
Tav needs moved forward or punted He can’t defend
Two no nonsense CH, Souter and Goldson? Davies is ok King is still learning
Barasic needs punted, Yilmaz looks good enough
What I’m getting at is I want my teams defenders to defend, How many times does Tav and Barasic get caught out upfield,
Let the more skilful players ie midfielders to make the play
Hopefully we get some of our injured players back in or before January,
If either Kent or Morelos don’t want to extend their contracts, Sell at a cutdown price if someone would take them, There must be out of contract players that could do a better job than some of the s###e we are watching, Even if was only to the end of the season. ???????????.
