Our signings (or lack of) have been abysmal and cost is the title and with it £40m. Who is responsible and why are they still at Rangers?

Ross Wilson, and the board - no idea why Wilson is still here and unless someone else wants to buy the club (highly unlikely as who wants to invest in Scottish football) then we're stuck with the board.
That aside, I don't think I'd trust Gio to spend any money we have wisely anyway.

Wilson and the board, changes are required asap or we’ll end up with 4 or 5 seasons back in the wilderness.

We need to get behind Gio and the team, this isn’t Gio’s fault, he’s playing the hand he’s dealt, I actually feel for him.

Ross wilson and a lack of money to spend due to last season 23million loss.

Not prepping the team for Malmo. In form we should beat Malmo and i'm sure we would have won in the next round against Ludo. SGs fault. Bodo went on 4 weeks warm weather training in their off season and skelped Celtic.

It's not just about money. There are and always will be quality Bosmans and less expensive quality players if you have the Scouting network and the skillset within the Board and from the DoF to convince players to sign for us.
I believe that GVB just like Gerrard will attract quality, I have absolutely no faith in Wilson to deliver and I do not believe that Park has the charisma as a Chairman to convince top players that Rangers is the Club for them.
There is no reason other than what it would cost in compensation as to why we can't get rid of Wilson and I would hope that with Board Members that are also Shareholders that their Shareholder Agreement is distinct and separate from their Employment Contract although I appreciate that iit is less easy to remove them. Time for a Clear out, difficult to justify many of the players signed recently being retained if we can get rid. Few of them will take us to the next level.

I think your right. The board are rich but not that rich and are nervy about their investment - hence reluctance to spend and 'hoping' for the champs league riches given the other mob's start to the season. It is also concerning that our players are losing value by the game. A lack of business acumen.

I don't think ross Wilson is fully to blame, he's working financially with his hands tied behind his back, we don't seem to have any money to spend, certainly judging by our business in the last number of windows, bringing in someone to replace Wilson they will have the same financial problems, some of the signings since Wilson came haven't been his, itten our worst imo was a Steven Gerrard signing.

I think the board is being unfairly judged, they are hurting as well because every single one of them is a Rangers supporter . if we asked all correspondents on this site who would they sign given the money, the answers would stagger us all. We all want the club to do well, here’s hoping the players we do sign-in the summer are capable of giving us a team to be proud of once more.

They certainly aren’t being unfairly judged as I don’t think anybody expects them to lose money. The problem was they had money from the Patterson sale and the Gerrard money. They made a conscious decision not to spend this which in turn cost us the league. They need to be held accountable for this decision. As for Ross Wilson, plenty of clubs have had success with our finances, the bottom line and hard fact of the matter is he doesn’t know what he’s doing and appears to be signing players capable of securing second place, this is unacceptable in my opinion. He needs to leave asap.

The board should have seperate employment contracts to shareholders contract.
Amazed how some don’t know how it operates.

Agree Dado Prso. If GVB had been given some money I am sure he would have tapped into the Dutch market and picked two or three gems. Instead, poor signings which as has been said on here already, have cost us the league. I wonder what would have happened had fatso Ashley taken over the club?

I agree mark but it’s easy for fans to blame him, but as you say his hands are tied also it’s difficult to get players to come to Scotland also.

The board need to be working now on a transfer plan for the summer, anything up to 10 players can leave that squad imo, we need at least 5 quality players signed in the summer, I'd like also to see a few b team players moved to the first team, Weston, McCann mccausland mb.

Dado, couple of things.

Which clubs have had success with finances similar to ours?

What do you think has happened to the Paterson and Gerard money - shiny new Parks of Hamilton bus or invested into the club?

Who do you think should have been signed in January to improve the 1st team and how much would they have cost?
