I don't know what the rest of my fellow bears think here, but i honestly think we can best austria tomorrow, if steve clarke let's our players off the leash, to go and excel themselves 🤔 IMO, its the most talented group of scotland players we've assembled together, for a good few years now 🤔Steve Clarke borders far too much in the cautious side for me, but with the players we've got ATM, we should be doing much better 🤔
I always give manager's time, but regarding clarke and the scotland squad he currently has at his disposal, i honestly don't think he's the right manager, to take this group forward and let them loose, so to speak! My question guys is, how many of you think he's the man for the job and if not, who do you think should replace him as scotland manager, that would bring in modern/ forward thinking methods,
to suit the current squad of players we have ATM? 🤔.

I'm not a fan. Since Clarke took over I always find it a painful watch and I think there's definitely more quality in the team than the performances and results suggest. I'd much rather see good attacking football and youth embraced - I don't see why Gemmill shouldn't be given a shot; he's done well with the youths and can help build for the future. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic though.

Sorry but not a chance were beating Austria. I support Scotland but I'm realistic. We got to Euros via the back door. We won't get to World Cup. We have a few decent players but that's about it. Tierney, Robertson, Gilmour and McGinn. Also lots of average players in the team. Players who wouldn't get near a Scotland team from the 80s. I hope to be proven wrong.

It’s a sore watch, Clarke is far too negative and stubborn to change and by the looks of it he offers nothing from the side line. He cuts a very uninspiring figure on sidelines always looks like he’s suffering a hangover 😵.

Scott Gemmill wouldn't be a bad shout TrueBlue85👍He knows the full system all the way through, inside out mate 🤔 It worked for england promoting gareth southgate from the england under 21's to the england manager for the same reason i suggested regarding giving scott gemmill a go 🤔.

I would stick with Clarke.
Maybe if the players started taking the chances that we are creating because the amount of good chances we have missed is very worrying. We are creating opportunities and failing miserably to convert them.

Three Cheers Scotland are missing a quality finisher. I feel like we’ve got the makings of a very good team. Guys playing every week in the premier league and at top clubs too. Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and of course Rangers and Celtic. For me Dykes isn’t a good enough goal scorer, neither is Adams. Nisbet isn’t of the standard either yet. The amount of great chances we created in the Euros and the other night and didn’t score was just painful.

Elbuff I agree big Dykes isn't a very good goal scorer and that's not a good thing if your a striker. Look at the chances he missed v Luxembourg. We're missing chances from all over the park not just from the strikers.

Aye that’s true mate Christie and Robertson also missed guilt edged chances the other night. It’s not good enough. I really think we have a good enough team to compete with the Czechs/ Norways/ Austria’s etc but until we find our shooting boots we’ll continue to lose and draw winnable games. Really think we should have qualified out or group in the euros and a mix of negative tactics and terrible finishing cost us.

Worse than Clarke"s selections or tactics are his pre or post match interviews. Murder. Sounds like a Scottish Alf Ramsay, trying to be polite. Like a wean standing up in class and reading from a text book. I need to switch off when he appears.

I struggle to watch Scotland now as the football
Is terrible and boring think I would rather watch paint dry yeah Austria got a bad result the other day but the best we can get is a draw IMO and don’t think we will get that but fingers crossed.


Stevie Clarke kind of football would get football stopped forever.

This Scotland team has 3 or 4 quality players in it and Clarke doesn't usually play them all. Smith/ McLeish team post WC 06 pre Euro 08 would wipe the floor with this lot.
